Groups Scare Me

Like I wanna be in that group, but I don't want to self-promote. I also don't know if my story will fit no matter the tag. It also brings a whole lot of attention, which is okay sometimes. I got added to two groups that wasn't proofreading or help and I nearly had a heart attack.

If your stories get added to a group without your permission and you're not okay with it, then let whoever did it know and remove them. Not all groups will help but not all will hurt either. Mines don't really discuss anything sadly but that also means nothing negative lol.

I kinda know the feeling. I rarely join any groups outside of things like Author Support or School for New Writers. Personally, I take it as a compliment when someone adds a story of mine to their group; like, they think my story worthwhile enough to share. That being said, Cold Spike is definitely right. If you’d rather not have your story in a certain group folder, there’s nothing wrong with removing it.
