Did you miss me? I know I've missed you guys. My god, it's been so damn long.
I should probably explain myself to those of you who decided to stick around (which I REALLY appreciate by the way). This story has probably been sitting at the bottom of your reading list for close to a year now, and that's perfectly understandable. There are way better things to read than this, yet here you are. Thank you :)
First off, it's really hard to believe I started this thing two years ago. I'm looking back at it and see that, although I now feel like my old writing is reeeeaaally cringe-worthy, it got updated a lot more regularly. I apologize to you guys that I've let this sit around for almost a year without a word from me. But in the end, I figured that my life outside of a laptop screen is significantly more important.
Secondly, I cannot guarantee regular weekly updates like those in 2012 anymore, but I can assure you, The Bridge Between Worlds will be updated! I have every intention of finishing (at least) the second story arc (which is the Griffin one at the time of this blog post). Whether I'll manage to get on to the third, fourth, fifth and so on and so forth remains to be seen. I had and still have such big plans for this series, and I will try to get it out as best as I can to you guys, and I won't rush it. If you feel differently, remember, there's a whole bunch of other HiEs out there better than this one that's far more regularly updated.
Lastly, this is something I feel needs to be cleared up, regarding where everything's going to go once this story is through. I have pretty high chances of going on to the third arc, so when I do, it will be under a different title. I will post a link at the end of the Bridge Between Worlds to redirect anyone who is not updated to the continuation. As for Project Peacemaker, if anyone even remembers that, I really want to get on to writing it. But it is highly relevant to the TBBW series, so the most I'll do for that is to keep it under wraps until the end of the second arc and write it alongside the third. Confusing, I know, but I have higher hopes and more content for Project Peacemaker that I think you guys will really enjoy.
As to those of you who are just coming around to see this slightly intriguing 'HiE-that-started-as-a-self-insert-but-then-turned-adventure-series', and have only recently decided to give it a go, I'd like to say this:
Please look pass the horror that I feel is the first third of the story. I was 15, my writing was not the greatest, and I had a knack for being a little cliche. Now I'm back, I'm almost 18 and I do believe that grammatically, I'm far better than young me. But I'm a little rusty, so putting a good story back into words may not come so naturally. I will be putting a little edit on top of the prologue chapter to assure anyone else that's new to the series that it gets better. I know for a fact that first part is putting a lot of you off, but I can't afford the time to remaster everything from the start. Just give it time and I promise you, it will be worth it :)
