Howdy there, everyone! It's me, Fire Soul, the brony with a totally inaccurate avatar that he can hopefully replace with a commissioned picture one day. With that out of the way....
Welcome to my first everblog!
To be honest, I'm not exactly sure WHAT I'm supposed to put on here. I mean, blogs are supposed to be about....y'know, whatever, right? Well, if that's the case, for the VERY few I would expect to ever see this, I guess I could explain why I'm writing 'Taming the Rage'. Mainly because I've noticed in the couple of comments it's gotten already that it reminds a few people of a couple of other fanfics, or at least one other. I don't mind that, I wasn't aiming to be original, because the full message of this story can't be conveyed in a single chapter. A part of it can be, though: college sucks. HARD.
There's also the fact that a lot of what Twilight went through in that chapter reminded me of what happened to my career as a college student. Only difference is, I retained enough control to not smash everything within my reach or hurt myself. I just shook like a leaf and went into a severe depression. And developed an anxiety disorder. That cost me my job. THAT'S not important anymore though! I'm getting better, so the point of this story is a much, much deeper message. If you get my message, then good for you! If not, well....I'm sure someone will explain it to you, it's honestly not as complicated and almighty as I'm making it out to be. Ooh, the suspense!
With that out of the way, if there's any way to respond to these blogs, feel free to say whatever! I take things in stride, I'm not gonna get butt-hurt if you don't agree with an opinion I give on here, that's all it is, an opinion, just like whatever opinion you'll likely give me if you message me out of butt-hurtedness.
For those of you that want to know when Chapter 2's coming out, keep in mind that that first chapter was written in four hours with only around ten minutes of grammar and spell-checking. Yes, I'm tooting my own horn. Yes, I'm saying you'll get your second chapter soon. Yes, those that like it, it will be awesome. Yes, for those of you that don't like it, it will suck for you if you read it just because you want to see how much it will suck. Yeah that's right, I said that!

Makes me wonder about the inspiration for your other 5 fanfics....XD somehow I think Taming the Rage grew a little more than you anticipated and intended.

Sure, if that's what you want, that's fine. You know that doesn't stop the admins and such from seeing deleted comments though, right?
As for Taming the Rage's popularity back then, well, I expected it to be popular. I've always had a natural talent for writing, but there's also always room for improvement. That being said, I did write the entire fic while high, and looking back on it, it could use a lot of revision. I even attempted it at one point, but I HATE editing on such a large scale, so I gave up on it. I actually had two sequels planned for it, along with some side stuff involving Wind Strider and the Shadow Guard in general to flesh him and several characters out a whole lot more. Now I don't know if I'll ever get around to doing that.
