Update on Stories and Upcoming Blog Series · 1:31am Apr 25th, 2014
Thanks to everyone's enthusiasm in the comments, I am pleased to announce my first Twilight's Library weekly recap blog will be up and kicking sometime tomorrow afternoon. I'll be starting off with a general summary post of the roughly 400 stories I've reviewed since signing on, along with an overview of how I tend to review things. There may even be graphs!
In other news, you may recall my mentioning a certain comedy by the name of They Know! in a blog post awhile back. Unfortunately, I have hit a roadblock and it has slunk back to the drawing board until further notice. I have, however, been toying with an idea that will finish off my Dilbert crossover, Kumberbuzzles Over Canterlot. With any luck, I'll be putting my efforts towards that instead. It will be an abrupt end, but entertainingly so.
In still other news, I have decided to try an experimental blog series based on an acting class I happened to take for fun. Looking at stories from the view of an actor who actually has to figure out how to bring words to life is an interesting perspective, and one I haven't run into that often. The series will be based on the guideposts of acting found in Audition, by Michael Shurtleff, with supplementary notes from A Practical Handbook for the Actor, by Melissa Bruder et al. I will summarize each relevant guidepost and add some commentary of my own to point out ways authors might use each one. The first blog in this series will take place next Monday, with additional blogs posted every other day or approximately whenever I feel like it, whichever happens to occur. Finals week is coming up, after all.
Thank you to everyone who has shown their support, and hope to see you tomorrow!
