Seventeen Months: An afterthought · 11:39pm Mar 29th, 2014
Last week I published a story called Seventeen Months. I wrote it with the express intent of making it challenging, as I have read many books with a similar style and I find that, though very painful, the struggle of reading it is quite intriguing. Seventeen Months was the product of my endeavor, and I believe it to be an excellent struggle. But there is a catch, as the more challenging I make the text, the less the audience (you) will understand and enjoy it. The overall goal was not to drive people away, but rather to contribute a unique piece of work to an incredible fandom. I want you to enjoy what you’re reading - why else would you read something voluntarily? So, I took the liberty of writing an analysis of the work according to my own interpretation. If there was ever any confusion (which I'm sure there is somewhere) this will set you on the path to understanding what happened. You can find it here!
Thanks!
