Idly and mostly unrelatedly, have you ever thought of doing some stand alone stories?

Yes, but I'm focusing on this at the moment.
I also feel like if I wrote a short, it would invariable contain elements from 'my universe', and thus I worry about it being confusing for people that haven't seen the rest of my work. Thus is basically the idea between ACHNE- a series of stories within a greater whole.

Another thing is that I always seem to pull for the epic, feeling that I need to go big.

1956217 I completely understand that. One of my first works is a vast, sprawling epic that covers multiple generations, planets, and universes, and kind of went past the end of the world. I'm still adding things to it, and I started writing it well over a decade ago.

I just wondered, because the fact that one really can't read any of your stuff right now without reading all of it makes it harder for people to get into it, if you see what I mean. I came very close to never reading past chapter 1 of The Definition of Harmony. If I hadn't noticed your blog, I probably would have just moved on, and missed out on everything else you've done.

Obviously gaining new followers is not necessarily goal #1 or anything, but it's just a thought that crossed my mind.
