Best pony lists ... and some bawwing about this site

I'm feeling a little down in the dumps when it comes to this site. Knighty sorta ruined it for me a little bit as I no longer have messages to look forward to here. It's kind of... well, for the last year or so I've always looked forward to turning on my computer and getting on this site in particular to see if I have new messages. Usually I did. If I didn't, I would have them in a couple of hours. But now I just don't have them anymore nor do I expect to have them, so coming here feels empty. It's really sad. What if this place becomes the same as fanfiction.net is to me? As in I visit it only when I have the urge to read something specific. At some point it's daily because there's some longfic I'm reading or I'm really into something and look up a bunch of fics about it, but then... it could take months between visits.

I don't think that is too likely though. Here's this blog for example. I like writing into it occasionally because in here I have a few friends who actually might read them too. And I like to keep tabs on said friends as well. Then there's a couple of groups I'm supervising. Well, one less now, really. And the two that are still on the safe side have always been pretty uneventful from a moderator's point of view. But anyway, they're there. ... that's actually it. I don't usually read group threads in the few random groups I'm a part of. I read fanfics occasionally, when I'm in the mood for them or when some fanfic I particularly love gets updated. But it's not like I need to read stuff right away, I could just do like in fanfiction.net and go search for fics when I have the urge. ... man, the strings keeping me active in here are getting really thin.

Or maybe I'm just feeling a little depressed about this. Meh.

Now here's what I actually meant to do in this blog before I got sidetracked. I was thinking about something pony related earlier today and then ended up thinking something along the lines of "Gee, Pinkie Pie sure is kinda meh." And that got me thinking "I should totally rank some ponies and explain why I ranked them that way. It would please my OCPD so much~ And I can just imagine how much everypony reading it wouldn't give a single buck~ Yes, I shall do that when I get on the comp."

So here's me doing that.

Twilight Sparkle

Pinkie Pie

The first three on the list are totally YAY and the last three are sorta meh.
-Fluttershy and Twilight are my favourite ponies. Actually it's difficult for me to decide which one is the number one and which has to be the number two. But I kinda lean towards Fluttershy because she is just too damn adorable and reminds me of what I was. So Fluttershy is Best Mane Six and Best Pony.
-Twilight on the other hoof I relate to a whole lot on the current time. And she's purple. And she's pretty. Hnngh~ And she goes well with Discord.
-Rarity I plain like a lot too. I can relate to her as well and she's just very entertaining as a character, not to mention that she is damn interesting. Also, pretty. Oh so pretty~

Now to the Meh Team. I don't actually dislike the three of them, I just don't particularly like them.
-Rainbow Dash gets the highest spot because I really like her colour scheme. I mean, dude, rainbows are awesome. Also, it's thanks to her that I joined the herd in the first place. So yeah, she's the best Meh pony.
-Applejack I've never particularly liked. At first I actually disliked her because cowboys are stupid and boring and make me roll my eyes so hard it hurts. But eventually I got used to her. She's not interesting but not bad either.
-Pinkie Pie... she's actually borderline disliked to me. I mean, she sure has her fun moments, I'll give her that. And I love the songs in the show and Pinkie is providing a good portion of them so I'm grateful. But I just don't like her 'random for the sake of random' thing. ...that sounds like a lot of bullshit coming from a Discord fangirl, but it's just different somehow. I also don't particularly care for hyper characters. So yeah, Pinkie is definitely the least best Mane Six.

Cadance

-If I did this whole waifu thing, Celestia would be the pony. She's such an interesting character with lots of potential. She's hardcore. And she's the most beautiful pony in the series. Also, goes damn well with Discord.
-Twilight is the second best pony, so she's as high as she can be in the princess list too. But she just can't be the best Princess because of Celestia.
-Luna is becoming more and more interesting a character to me thanks to Season 4. But I've never cared for her a whole lot, other than be excited to see her put to good use. Not a bad character, just a little on the meh side. Also, dislike her body type so much.
-Cadance is just meh. The only reason she is even relatively interesting to me is because of her relation to Twilight. But that's it. She could be at least pretty if she didn't have that stupid body type that ruins everything.

Scootaloo
Applebloom

I don't like the CMC. Especially as a unit. I generally don't care for kid characters, especially when they're too stupid to realize something that's not only waved in front of their noses but also used as an item to whack them on the head with. As in, I think the cutie mark thing has dragged on for too long and overstayed its welcome. I'll start liking these characters once they stop being overly oblivious.

-Sweetie Belle is the only CMC I sorta like. She has a fun personality and her relation to Rarity gives me something to latch on to. Also, her singing doesn't hurt my ears.
-Scootaloo is meh. I suppose it's sorta interesting to speculate things about her... or rather, listen to someone else do that because I don't care enough to do it myself.
-Applebloom is on the bottom solely because of her accent that makes it hard to understand what she is saying. Otherwise she is just as meh as Scootaloo, no worse no better.

-Discord is Best Pony Draconequus Character. Nuf said.
-I actually like Sunset Shimmer, at least the idea behind her if not the execution of her character. I mean, dude, the freaking headcanon material she provides! I have such an awesome theory about Celestia, Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle. The connection there. Eeee! Just. Dude, the names. Think about it. Think it hard. Ohohoho~
-Nightmare Moon gives Luna some characterization and history, and most importantly gives Celestia something to angst about. I do love angst. Otherwise sorta meh.
-I don't particularly care for Chrysalis, but there's at least some intriguing ideas there. Good for expanding the Equestria lore.
-Sombra is very meh. But I like to use him as a small part of my Discord's backstory. Insignificant part really, but at least there's some use.

Best Random Characters

In here I just list some characters I particularly like.

-Iron Will is made of awesome. He is a minotaur, that alone is awesome, and his design is just fantastic. And he's badass and funny but also a savvy businessman. I also totally crack pair him with Discord. I have it in my head how it would happen. It's brilliant. I should write a fanfic. But I probably won't. But dude, totally OTP.
-Fancy Pants is such a nice and understanding guy like no other. Smart as a whip too. The only stallion in the show that I find actually interesting. And he goes well with Rarity.
-Zecora is an interesting character with lots of potential. Also, rhyming, that's just great. And her design is very nice.
-I would have to turn in my Brony card if I didn't put her here. Derpy is cute because she is so different. I kinda don't like how she is made to be dumb because of it, but I can live with it. I can see Discord taking an interest in her (because of her eyes being different) and becoming friends with her (cos Derpy wouldn't mind his chaos, like Fluttershy but only more genuinely). And it'll be all sunshine and rainbows and muffins. And then they'll have a tea party with Fluttershy and it's super adorable.

Hmm, I think I'm done here. This is TL;DR enough as it is and I don't think I should make a list of characters I don't like or anything. Not that I have many, most characters are either "sorta like a bit but not enough to make the chara stand out" or "Don't particularly like but don't dislike either".

Oh wait! One last list though!

Huh, sorry to hear about that RP ban. Somehow I managed to completely miss that news. It's kind of a shame. In any case, I'm glad to see your still here, if only because of the fact that you're one of the few blogs here I enjoy seeing.
