Should I, or shouldn't i? · 8:13am Mar 4th, 2014
As you guys know, I apparently have the worst streak of bad luck on the face of the planet. So let me tell you a little story.
From my previous blog you know that my home suffered some structural damage from a storm. I was in the process of tearing out the drywall and looked at the damage. I have a huge stair stepping crack in the wall due to foundation shifting. So I go to lowes to get the need mortar to fill the gaps when lo and behold, I slip and fall on some black ice around 5 yards from the entrance. Now, normally I would just get up and shake it off, but I ended up laying there for a couple minutes in a daze from the pain.
Now I haven't gone to the ER because god knows I cant afford it right now. But now my shoulder is killing me and I'm considering going at 4am.
S my question here is, should I seek legal action? Ive always been a good guy, and never really done anything like this before, minus e truck incident a little while back. But anyway. Should I or no?
I'm not sure on that. I don't think I would but it also would depend on how bad the injury is. A little bump I'd be disappointed but pain that makes you want to go to the hospital at 4am when you know you can't afford it is pretty bad. I figure Lowes is a big enough company to settle something like this quickly out of court but still...
I really dont know.
Would the fact that you waited this long make it difficult to pursue legal action? (Being my only useful input thus far)
1894944 I spoke to a lawyer this morning and they said that due to the area I fell in i may only be entitled to $5 toward medical bills only. So I'm not pursuing legal action.
