You know what is cool? (WARNING; Philosophical Rambles)

We are a bunch of descendants from a couple of African-derived apes who learned to walk upright, and in the blink of an eye in geological time, we have mastered the manufacture of weapons as varied from stone axes to continent-savaging nuclear armament. We've developed sentience, and we have literally thousands of languages, both written and spoken, and have claimed all but one continent on our homeworld for permanent colonization. We've domesticated both other animals and plants, we've been into space, we've explored the floor of the ocean using our wits and science to achieve what our psychical bodies alone could not do.

We are a species that gets to be a bunch of really smart apes, clinging to a ball of dust spinning around a giant ball of fire in the middle of this galaxy and we get to act like that is nothing but mundane, rather than miraculous.
