Well…. A couple of thousand words down the drain.
What happened? I wrote a lot during my lunch breaks at work and wisely decided to copy them onto a brand new USB drive. Once at home I would then put the finishing touches on chapter 14 of Stages and upload it.
Now I find myself in the situation of having a file that is damaged and unreadable. Great, just fan-flipping-tastic.
I hope I have the original back on the PC at work. If not….then I’ll have to rewrite the entire chapter from vinyl….I mean from scratch.
What have I learned?
Dear Princess Celestia,
I have learned that it is not wise to purchase USB drives on sale. Rather I should invest a bit more money and buy one that is from a reliable manufacturer. That would save me a lot grey hairs in the future and not make me feel slightly homicidal towards the sales clerk that sold me the item in question.
So Chapter 14 of Stages will not be released during the weekend. If I still have the file at work I’ll upload it on Monday. If not…then it will take a bit longer.
