To those that follow me, apologies; we're using this blog for a discussion.
Now, to the rest of the mods from M/M roleplayers, you've received a message from Jadeile linking this blog.
Well, for the last day or so, me and jade have finally decided its high time we have something else to our name. Like, a full story! 
We've, so far, decided on a slice-of-life universe where each of our OC's live in a large appartment/mansion, and the story depicts our day to day shenannigans. All six of us will have a role with developing or making this story.
So I've had my say; what about you guys?

We have thought up some details about this concept and the roles each of us could take in it, but we first want to hear whether or not you all would be initially interested in this or feeling like tossing some ideas of your own on the table before we lay out ours. After all, we wouldn't want to drown your ideas by pushing ours on you right off the bat

Well while we wait for lambda and Dioce to come in, I'll outline our idea in more detail, and see what you think.
So the six of us, represented by our OC's, pretty much live in a mansion; but not a massive one. Each of us have our own room or two, plus a few extras for SoL situations such as a kitchen, board room etcetera. The whole on-going (hopefully) series depicts day to day activities between us all. Jade has graciously made the offer to do cover art for it, and we were hoping that Lambda could do some audio-over in the meantime.

So if we now go by the assumption that we would be doing this modverse (as I've named it in my head), here's something Ginger and I were thinking would be a good place to start:
Since we would be writing about OCs that represent us (assumption being that they would be Spotlight, Jade Star, Evening Storm, Lambda Grey, Night Wing and Oracle Spellmason, but feel free to change your pony) rather than some characters we already know, we kinda need some personalities to work with. So it would be helpful if each of us would write up some kind of character summary for our ponies where you define what your pony will be like in the fic. Preferably your pony would be an exaggerated version of yourself with some clear personality traits, hobbies and habits. They should be exaggerated for the funny and so that they're easier to tell apart from each other - if everyone is just a generic nice pony with an overly complex inner personality it'll be impossible to write anything.
For example, Jade Star has a knack for diplomacy and has some leet natural leadership skills when she's in a situation where this is needed and possible. But when she's not in a diplomatic mood she doesn't tolerate bullshit for long (this is also cumulative. If you pull stupid stuff on a regular basis she is more likely to blow a gasket at the smallest things you do) and can come up with very creative punishments for those who seem to be in the need of it - though the threatening is usually enough on its own because the way she says it leaves no doubt that she would go through with it. Otherwise she is cheerful and easily amused, but kinda OCPD (except when it comes to her art desk, which is a mess). She does all kinds of art (and forgets to eat when she is 'in the zone') and really likes reading. She has some serious sweet tooth and occasionally bakes pastries for everypony. Also, loves cute things
and Discord. Doesn't leave the house very often because why should she, she has her books and pencils right here....yeah, there is a reason why Twilight is one of my favourite characters. I kinda see myself in her.
So, like that. Also, some kinda brief description of your pony's room(s) would be good too. It doesn't need to be a complete map, but at least give us some idea of what kind of things the room contains.
Example, Jade has two rooms: bedroom and studio. The bedroom is neat and its primary colour is violet when it comes to furniture and such; there are fantasy books and comics in many shelves and there's a nice reading nook with a purple couch and a small snack table (you can usually find candies, pastries or fruits on it).
The studio is obviously for arts and it's a complete mess; there are random paint tubes on every single table with no rhyme or reason, even when there is an official spot for painting; there are sharp objects like scissors, snap blades, drafting compasses and freshly cut pieces of picture framing mat everywhere, making this a very dangerous place to anger her; unfinished drawings and paintings everywhere, but the finished ones are usually put away neatly; markers are in a few different bowls for reasons that are logical to her but aren't immediately obvious to anyone just looking around; watch out, those bottles and cups with liquids aren't for drinking, even if they might technically be water bottles or drinking glasses; no, you're not allowed to borrow that particular pen because you will use it the wrong way and the tip will be forever ruined, however you can take that other one that looks exactly the same but is somehow different to her; that cork board with notes and vague sketches makes no licking sense. In short: creative chaos.

Okay, let's do this.
Spotlight is your typical hyperactive post-teen with a love for all things weird and wonderful. He enjoys life to be carefree and whimsical, with majority of his life leading with the phrase 'why not'? (Occasionally replaced by holloring 'FOR SCIENCE'). But whilst his life may be mach-5 and apparently completely insane, his quick-thinking, questioning brain occasionally spits out a genuine piece of advise, or some deep and meaningful phrase... In the midst of a custard fight. Not one to give out criticism or tread on other ponies, he takes the time to evaluate every pony he comes across, rather than to make an immediate judgement on them. Also, not one for criticism himself, a blatant insult to him can usually put a downer on his whole day, most of the time him sitting in his room. the three main loves of his life are fiction, photography, and food; usually trying to combine more than one in a go. And thanks to a fantastic metabolism, he can digest pounds of hay fries to fill his insatiable appetite.
Similar to Jade Star, Spotlight has two rooms; a bedroom and a studio; but thanks to his rather demanding hobby, plus dibsing it when they moved in, he successfully converted the basement into a small darkroom, ideal for developing his film (being a traditionallist and not converting to digital), and the final images. His bedroom looks like a typical uni-students dorm; mini-fridge, unmade bed, and the plain grey walls covered mostly by posters ranging from bands to motivational phrases to animes. A bookshelf resides in a corner on top of plain red carpet, mostly full of fictional series, camera gear, and mangas. Finally, a desk, with some simple electronics such as a PC and a console, but nothing in comparison to Lambda's set-up.

Jadeile, if you want my honest opinion I don't care what your accent is, and who cares if your English isn't the best, that could be part of your character. Accents are fucking cool so don't be ashamed of it.
If you really don't want to I can do Jade's voice, but I would prefer you give it a try before I take over.

I agree, the accent would be a great part of your character. I can add audio as well but my character normally doesn't have a voice.(part of the story i have in the works for him) though he does eventually fashion a spell to give him a fake voice...hmm...as for the character altogether
Oracle Spellmason, named for his 'gift' to catches glimpses of future events, when this happens his eyes and horn glow and he speaks in rhyme with an echo, normally fainting afterwards and having no memory of saying anything; Only having memory of what he 'saw'. 9 times out of 10 he can do nothing to change the events that are to happen, or him seeing them is directly related to them happening when he tries to prevent it.
Although he is an alicorn he is not a gifted flier, he can fly, but his wings are rather weak compared to most, by comparison he is quite gifted in magic but is not by any means all powerful. He has a thirst for knowledge and is constantly pouring himself into his studies, normally carting around a few books and testing new spells.
Oracle never knew his real parents, as a foal he was discovered outside the walls of Canterlot Castle by one of Celestia's guards as they passed by on the night shift. The guard immediately took him to Celestia due to him having not only a horn, but wings as well. He was raised in secret, taught an illusion spell to hide his wings and hopefully fit in, but his inability to speak singled him out. After seeing him predict the return of Nightmare Moon, Celestia gave him the name Oracle and carefully guided his magic and kept him hidden from the world, afraid of how they would react to an alicorn seemingly appearing out of thin air.
Oracle was kept in the care of Celestia and Star Sparkle(Twilight Velvet), his only friend being Stars' son - Shining Armor - who was currently in training among the Canterlot Royal Guard. Thinking back on his vision of Nightmare Moon, Oracle was determined to join the guard and protect the only pony who he could call family and after convincing her he could maintain his wings illusion and communicate by using his magic to write words in the air, Celestia granted him permission to train among the royal guard.
(thats pretty much all I've got written...I had a lot more planned but life and such has gotten in the way of further developing his story)

And aslo, Alicorn OC can be a MASSIVE trigger for most; try to either come up with a reasonable story as to why he is, or I'd advice choosing a regular species. Not saying your character is rubbish, but expect a lot of grief if you kept it how it is.
And I'm now writing a draft of an intro chapter; I'll do some modverse thing to 'put on hold' Dioce's Character. Back in an hour or so.))

1710711 I have no idea who I've tagged or not right now. Anyway, threw this together as the intro to the intro.
On the outskirts of Ponyville, about a mile away from the towns edge, sat a house. It was a very large, white house, but was by no means a mansion. It rose up three floors, and was as wide as it was tall. The Everfree forest could be seen half a mile behind it, with the mountains of Canterlot hazy off to the right.
A quick walk up the gravel path leading towards the large oak double doors, and you realise it's not as big as what ponies say. Yes, it was large, seeing as it accomidated 6 ponies with busy lives, but with it out of the way, more traditional ponies didn't complain. You stand on a wooden porch, with a cover above you by simple pillars; white like the rest of the house. A look behind you, and you see that anybody that had a front bedroom would wake up to a glorious view; the rooftops of Ponyville could be seen in the distance, the Everfree forest running alongside it, curving round gently to behind the house.
You turn back to the doors, and you hear noise coming from the inside. As though expecting your presence, the door is opened by an auburn glow of magic; the caster visable not a moment later.
"Ah, yes! The audience! We was expecting you round about now." The orange pony chuckled, a youthful Britmare accent forming the root of his more local accent. His mane was chaotic; a vivid contrast of short cropped spiky black and white, surrounding a spiral horn. His tail was of the same variety; cut chort and chaotic.
"Ah, yes. Probably should backtrack a little bit." He steps aside, indicating for you to follow him inside; which you do so. " 'Name's Spotlight by the way."
You step into the white marble entrance hall, Spotlight closing the door as you do so. Directly in front of you is a set of stairs, which reach the wall before splitting in half, leading along to two doors in the corners, and one dead center.
On the ground floor, two doors on either side of the room, along with one on each side of the stairs, and all of them shut. The floor below you is checkered black and white; a more organised form of Spotlight's mane.
"A lot of doors, I know; but don't worry, were not exploring all of them just yet." Spotlight says, indicating at the doors.
"Living room;" he says, indicating to the two doors on the left, "Meeting room," now indicating at the doors edging the stairs on the furthest wall. "Kitchen, and Dining room." He finished, pointing to the two doors on your right respectively.
"On that balcony, we've got that middle door leading to the first floor landing, with the two edge doors leading to the bathrooms." He carried on, again pointing out the respective doors.
Spotlight chuckled again. "Sorry, it's not very often we get genuine visitors, and I've grown to love this house." He smiled to himself, before shaking out of his stupor.
"Anyway, down to business. You're here because you've been granted full acess to see our lives, and how we work as a unit; the six of us that is. The author has informed us of this meeting, and for the purpose of narrative, has given you a body.
"This 'chapter' of our lives is merely for introduction. A tour of the house and it's inhabitants, so you're not lost in the future. However, there are a few catches. One; me, along with the others, will have no recolation of this meeting with you, or the tour you're about to see.
"Second, as to preserve our privacy and ease on the author, you will not have a body after this chapter, nor will you have any narrative consiousness; in other words, this is the only time we deconstruct the fourth wall to talk to you and everything else after will be recorded as a simple narrative. You follow me?" He requests, then listens to your answer. "Well regardless, this is just so you now the place." He chuckled.
"We're not giving you a tour of the first floor; saves time. Look." He said, opening the closest door to him; the dining room.
"See? White." Which it was. An empty expanse waiting for detail to be given by the author. "Don't worry, you'll see it later. If you'd like to follow me, I'll let you meet the others." Spotlight said, turning and walking up the steps. It's then you see the old-school megaphone cutie mark on his flank. Director.
"Oh yes, forgot one last door." He pointed stright down with his hoof. "Door to the side of the stairs lead to a basement and my darkroom; again, we don't need to show you that." After a nod from you, he continues up the stairs, reaching for the door and opening it up for you.
"After you." He says kindly, waving his hoof through.

Ah, yes. Saro, if you feel like writing might not be your thing, then we do need a proof-reader. Obviously you can colab with one or two of us as and when, but we need a dedicated pre-reader to spot those wonky grammer errors that I'm so prone too

I was thinging maybe creating a shared account for all of us to have access to, and for ease of management on the group as well. I dunno, call it thr MMModverse or something
1715718 Shared account would be overdoing it in my opinion.
As I see it, all the mod work would be done through this account and soon the users would forget all about us individual mods (except for the funny characters in the story) and only listen to the ModBot. And they would never know which one of us they're interacting with and that's creepy.
I suppose it would make dealing with PMs easier because all of us would be able to see them rather than just hear stuff from the others, but I can see bad things about that too.
I'm having trouble writing my thought here right about now though because there's a nasty headache

I'll shift Oracle to a unicorn for this story. His Alicorn background is a bit complicated and only has a point within the story I am writing for him. As for personality, he's a bit of a neat freak and a smart ass and when the occasion calls for it he usually has a snappy comeback. The first thing on his mind however is his friends, those close to him and how his visions might affect them. When something is bothering him he keeps to himself, not wanting to burden others with his problems but always trying to do his best to help others with their problems. He works best under pressure, able to keep a level head in a serious situation, though when it comes to small harmless problems he normally freaks out (a scuffed hoof for instance).
As for his room and such - His room is a mess of spell scrolls, some hanging on the walls, others strewn about the floor, scribbled notes all over the walls and on random bits of parchment, none of which seems to make sense except to the unicorn himself. In the center of his room is a single bed with an oak endtable beside it with his inkwell and spare quills, a second room is filled with strange charms and targets for him to practice his spells and his third room is a sealed off room with no windows, markings drawn upon the walls, cieling, and floor, several candles suspended in mid-air with an unknown spell - this is his thinking room, or a room he sits in to sulk.

I've been playing with an idea of a chapter where Jade is kinda going crazy because of having to deal with everypony else and taking care of everything while the others just play (whether or not that's actually the case), and everypony else are like "Okay, she is labelling the forks by their sharpness with little differently coloured star stickers. You know, now that she finished sorting the sprinkles so that there's the same amount of each colour in the rainbow sprinkle bottle. I think we need to force her to take a vacation". And they do exactly that, after which they try to keep everything together without her but unfortunately all kinds of shit just happen to hit the fan right then and it's a huge damn disaster. ...and then they either manage to get things to work out and when Jade comes back she figures that they can do just fine without her and maybe she should take vacations more often (cue, "Nooooo!" from the others). Or everything is all fucked and everypony else is all coo-coo when she comes back, cue to her turning heels and taking another vacation to salvage her sanity.
Not the most original idea there is, but could be fun.
And here's some random disconnected ideas in general.
Basically, fimfiction would be a fiction site where ponies write stories about other ponies (often about celebrities like Princess Twilight Sparkle herself) and the M/M forums we're admins in can still be a role playing forum, it's just ponies instead of bronies playing there. It's actually really simple to alter stuff just the necessary amount for it to work.
I think I'll let that simmer for now and go do something other than come up with complicated stuff here

As for why I love Discord... he is funny, interesting, intelligent and a unique character (within the bounds of the show). I have a thing for villains, which is what he was when he was seen the first time. And I have a thing for overpowered characters too (when I don't hate their guts). So it was pretty inevitable.
For the record, the character I was most obsessed about before Discord was the Joker from Batman. Not that they're similar or anything... except that they are. Down to the 'Lord of Chaos' part
As for why Jade Star the character would have a thing for him... probably started from basically "Sweet Celestia if it wouldn't be interesting to try and draw a creature like that!" and escalated from there. Especially since she is a comic books fan and enjoys Batmane comics, specifically the Joker in them. So I can see something like "Wow, he is like the Joker who came to life, except without the part where he kills everyone for fun... I approve!" crossing her mind.

Secondly, even though I said: "Also, some kinda brief description of your pony's room(s) would be good too. It doesn't need to be a complete map, but at least give us some idea of what kind of things the room contains."

perhaps a chapter where each pony has a rather personal problem and feels it best to hide their problem from the others. Sort of like the poison joke episode except they each go to extensive lengths to hide whatever has happened to them and end up making themselves look ridiculous in the end until one of them steps forward and makes the others come forward as well. One of them would probably not be affected and would have a way of solving everyones problem (probably Jade, as compulsive, nerdy, and organized as she is.)

I think the idea is decent. Not the most original but hey, we're not exactly looking for originality
Not any worse than my idea up there. Besides, it'd be a great character study.
Now, what would be the cause of the problems? Magic is of course the easiest option. Maybe Oracle experiments with a spell and it goes wrong without him knowing it and screws everyone up (and Jade just so happens to be out buying herself some cheese puffs and thus isn't affected)? Or maybe Spotlight made some random unicorn out there angry and that unicorn sends a curse to their house? Or Lambda bought some artefact out of curiousity and now it happened to activate? Or maybe Evening helpfully cleaned up someplace that shouldn't have been touched and the magic force of the house itself was disrupted and lashed out (I think it'd be kinda neat if the house itself was somehow mysterious)? ... or maybe all of those and thus everyone caused their own problems themselves!
Either way, I approve of Jade being the one to solve the issue. After all, solving problems and managing disasters is my job here. Besides, I can see her getting sick and tired of seeing everyone behaving stupidly and then just forcing them to sit the buck down and talk about it so that it can be solved. And then logically figuring out the problem by "okay, what has happened today that has the slightest chance of being the cause of it? Now everyone spills the beans or I will get a can of beans, open it and use the sharp parts to gut you, mmkay?" and together they could find a way to solve it after everything is figured out.
