Finishing "Pattycakes: The Remake" · 7:25am Jan 3rd, 2014
So, a fan of mine asked me to finish a story I had read a long time ago; that being "Pattycakes: The Remake". I read that back before I started "Fluttercrinkle" and it goes without saying that it and "Mother's Don't need Manuals" were the insperation.
Well, all this time later I think the story that started it all for me deserves a proper conclusion. Now, I never got a word from GlitchyProductions about his plans for the story so I think he's pretty much gone from "FIMFiction.com". It saddens me but it encourages me to finish his work.
It comes at a cost and that's that it's now my top priority. I decided that finishing his already amazing story is more than worth while and I see it more important to finish than another chapter of my own original works.
I'm not putting "Pinkie Pie's Obsession" on a hiatus, or "Applejack's Obsession" for that matter. Their future chapters will be a bit late for the next two weeks or so while I get the chapters completed.
You might be asking yourself "How long will the final chapters take?", well I'm giving myself two weeks but I'm completely free for around the next 4-5 days so I'm buckling down and finishing this story.
Please, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns feel free to comment or PM me. Until then I'll be rereading the "Pattycakes: The Remake" and molding my writing style to fit his. I hope you all have confidence in me while doing this, and I hope you all wish me luck in taking on this endeavor.
Have a nice day! ~ Oliver-England
Being the fan that requested such a task of you in the first place, I feel honored to have inspired somebody to attempt something so great. I have the greatest confidence in you, and I hope you achieve the same, if not greater, magnitude of success as the esteemed story you're finishing.
As not to step on his hooves, I told GlitchyProductions it would be released as "strictly unofficial last chapter(s), for the purpose of granting closure to many" (I guess the ensuing greatness is a "strictly unofficial bonus". LOL). That was the compromise I posted to him... ... ...but he never replied! So... Go wild.
If you would like me to post the PM I sent to him in these comments, let me know; I think I articulated my point beautifully... almost "British-ly" so.
Cheers mate,
Alaester Nikolai Modern.
Good luck
I greatly look forward to reading it when it is finished. Good luck; but you don't need it.
Cheers mate,
Alaester Nikolai Modern.
