With relatives knocking at your door every other day, finding time to write and draw can be particularly difficult. Add in some wild post-drinking write'n'edits (and the following morning's subsequent rewriting of almost everything from the night before) and it's no wonder this chapter has been taking a little longer than the past few to publish.
I've also been steadily working on a cover for my story, which I wanted to release along with chapter 3, but as of now it's going to be a little behind. I don't want to wait too much longer to release chapter 3, which is about 75% written, so while I will continue drawing it up, the cover will most likely be posted between chapters 3 and 4. And it's going to be a good cover, if I do say so myself.
2014 looks like another strong year for pony fics, and, together with hopefully SOMETHING about Fallout 4 coming down the pipe, the Fallout Equestria universe should see a continuing growth of both quantity and quality. I'll keep plugging away at Collateral's and Jester's story, and hopefully you all will continue following along and enjoying where we're going. Because there is a LOT coming up.
A few minor things of note: I will be going back over chapters and doing some slight retconning/renaming of my own work. I've been re-reading the original FoE and have found some minor naming inconsistencies, i.e. I mentioned one of the big rivers as "Bigomac River", and just came across it in FoE as the "Ponytomac River". I'm also going to have to change Neighless. I had been playing way way way too much Fallout NV recently, and plum forgot that Nellis AFB is in NV (and has the name Nellie in New Pegas). It's Adams AFB in Fallout 3, so be prepared for a name change there as soon as I figure out how to ponify the name.
Other than that, though, my [way too] many hours of fact-checking have led me to believe that most everything else is either faithfully following both universes or hasn't been written about in FoE enough that it takes away my poetic license. So hooray!
Merry Christmas all of you (or what ever denominational or non-denominational holiday you celebrate) and have a great new year and 2014. I sure as heck know I will.
