The Forsaken Warrior: Chapter 1 (TEASER!) · 2:15am Dec 21st, 2013
Hey everyone. I trust you all are excited about the first chapter of The Forsaken Warrior. The chapter is coming along nicely and should be done soon. AS for now, please enjoy a small teaser of what's to come. Also check out the redesigned description, new and improved for your convenience.
(Also, the protagonist last name 'Scar' is purely coincidental. He had that name long before I picked up the name "Worvern Scar" as my pseudonym)
Chapter 1
Beneath Fire and Brimstone
AOSS Hidera: The Brig; 438,300 hours before destruction of earth
“Man, will you look at these things.” a soldier said pointing to the oddly colored beings in the corner of the cell.
“I know humans have a tendency to dress up, but this?”
“Gets you thinking if they’ve been hit by a round from an M26-85 Ragnarok.” another soldier said.
“No shit about that. I don’t see why they need someone to guard them anyway.”
“Orders are orders. Sides its part of regulations.” he pated him on the shoulder.
“Don’t worry, we’ll get deployed soon enough and start earning those credits.”
The conversation was dropped swiftly as the two switched post. One of them headed out to patrol the hallways of the brig while the other stayed behind.
The one taking his post in front of the cell banged the solid door with the butt of his gun only to receive a cry of terror.
Something must be up with these humans. Protocols have it to execute survivors on sight. Whatever was the case, he’ll just let the higher commands deal with it.
He tapped the monitor screen besides the door to zoom in on the prisoners. After doing a brief observation and checking the surroundings of the cell, he returned the screen to normal and assumed his position.
He occasionally glanced down at the screen in front of him from time to time. God, he wished the time would go by sooner. His relief doesn’t come till 2300 hours. Staring at the cell and keeping an eye on some prisoners for countless hours was not something he enjoyed in the slightest.
His attention turn towards the screen as the yellow, red haired prisoner stood up and walked away from the other two, pacing around the cell. He eyed her closely and watched her movements intently for anything suspicious.
Hours passed before he heard a familiar voice coming down from the hallway “Alright. Go over the report again Liana.”
The commander? Some shit must have happened for him to pay a personal visit. The soldier stood at attention and waited patently for him to arrive.
“A G-21 Titan operator on patrol duty over at Firebase Winhold detected the anomaly at approximately 1941 hours over at Riverton, Aldhaven located about 350 miles away. After requesting permission for an investigation, the patrol unit found these beings at the source.”
She brought up a picture of them on his HUD.
“…Care to explain why the hell am I looking at crayons with legs?”
A nice little teaser here, don't you say? Stay tuned, chapter 1 will be out shortly.
