From Friends to FIM Fiction · 12:05am Dec 21st, 2013
Woot, a blog! I haven't had one of these in about 10 years. It was back in the days when Live Journal was big, MySpace was on the rise, and Facebook was only for university students. I guess real life has taken me away from the Internet, but lately I have found reason to return.
In August 2013, my friend introduced me to My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic by way of a themed birthday party. After watching the first two episodes, I was hooked. I watched all the episodes I could and then began watching the fan made episodes online. It's amazing how we analyze and rationalize things like this! Anyway, once I ran out of material to watch, I began to write.
Notice I didn't say read. That's because I suck at reading. Dyslexia or something like it. It's just work for me to read. I mean, I can read comments or read a story that someone recommends, but if someone asked me "do you like reading?" I'd say "no, the act of reading is bothersome. I much prefer to have someone read it to me." Fortunately, my loving wife reads to me when I ask nicely. :-)
But writing? I love writing. Writing is easy. My friends tell me I've got a talent for writing. So I wrote some Mary Sue fiction about in the Ponyverse. And my friends love it. So now it's time to step up my game. Now I'm going to write for you, FIM Fiction.
