Can we get to Winter Wrap-Up already? · 3:37pm Dec 12th, 2013
Okay, I admit it. I'm an awful Canadian. I hate snow and the winter in general (never mind my birthday, Christmas, or an excuse to throw stuff at people I hate), I don't like hockey, I'm not overly fond of beer or coffee, and I didn't learn how to properly spell toque until I was 14.
Winter is not the reason I'm writing a blog post.
Recently, Skeeter The Lurker made a blog post asking his Legion who they wanted to be followed by out of everybody on the site. (Yeah, yeah. No pony pronouns today, this is kind of a serious topic.) After a lot of thought about admins (who are probably best living in ignorance about my activities), popular authors (who are probably too busy to take the time to chat with me), and Skeeter Himself (not to discount him as a popular author, I thought he merited his own category. Also, I'm not really one to suck up to people by telling them what I think they want to hear), I realized that there wasn't one, but two people I wanted following me. Thankfully, they already are.
Who are these people? Why, my friends Hoot and Bawss, but of course.
Sure, I've been friends with Bawss longer than with Hoot, but I treat them with (almost) equal levels of friendship. I probably call Hoot stupid less often, though. These two support my creative writing, whether it's FimFics or my personal novel-type-thing that I'm likely to never, ever finish. They put up with all my crap in a way that very few people can, and I really appreciate that.
Yes, I put up with THEIR crap, too. But I'm really vain and like to think that I'm the Queen of Having A Whole Bunch Of Crap. I'm probably less impossible to deal with than I think, but again. I'm really vain. I also hate most other people and have next to no social filter.
So I wanted to take the time to personally and publicly thank the both of you. Bawss, thanks for being a better friend than I am for the past 3 years. Here's hoping to 300 more. Hoot, stay awesome and speak a little louder, you have great things to say and a great way of saying them. Have a great birthday tomorrow, broski.
And to Skeeter, thanks for helping me realize that I have two of the most bodacious friends that I couldn't be any less deserving of. Cheers, mate.
Mushy feelings for everyone!

Wasn't expecting this...
