    Dang It.

Well, this is unfortunate. Seems that my iPod, which I had been 'loaning' to my mother, was burglarized last night. The very same iPod where I keep the rough drafts of most of my stories, so I can add to them on the go.

"But wait," you say, "That's no big deal. Surely you had backups of the data on your computer!"

    EEEEEEEENOPE!

    I Live!

Okay... I'm just gonna begin by saying that I consider myself a horrible subhuman wretch for going this long without a single update. My computer has been defunct for over four months, but I don't consider that a valid excuse. Hate me if you want, but know that I'm back now, and for good!

My Faves, According to Pony Sorter

According to an online character sorter, these are my favorite ponies. I actually feel that this is accurate, for the most part, except for the fact that some of my most beloved characters, such as Candy Apples and Rover, were completely absent from the list. I'm only posting the top twenty so this doesn't get absurdly long.

    The Shipping Log

After reading several of the comments for my stories, it occurred to me that it may be helpful if I offer a list of the potential pairings readers can expect to see in my work. This will not be a complete log of every couple I have planned, and it's subject to change, of course, but for now, if it's on the list, chances are it will be featured in one of my current or upcoming fanfics. Before we

    Filthy Rich is... cool?

After taking that 'which background ponies are your favorite' poll, I realized something about myself that I hadn't really considered until now. I freakin' LOVE Filthy Rich, and Diamond Tiara, too. Something about a rich pony who's not a total ass just really appeals to me, which is why I like Fancy Pants, but for some reason, Rich never got the same following in the community. Probably

I was always gonna get around to it, but... well, I guess I'll let this be a life lesson. Back your crap up or that gets jacked, which is whack, Mac. The most notable losses include the first half of Milky Way's Wishes Chapter 2, my revision of Nonpareil Chapter 3, and, most devastating to me personally, an almost-completed Queen Chrysalis fic that was currently over 8,000 words long, several months into development, and slated to go up on the site some time next week. I believed it to be the best of my works so far, by quite a bit.

Oh, well.

What about accepting harmony? You gonna keep that one rolling?

Oh crap, I know how that is. It's beyond terrible. :raritycry:

I didn't have anything stolen from me, but I had a laptop die on me in the middle of writing something, quite literally, and none of my work was backed up. I gave up for awhile and pretty much left that fandom at the time. (Well, not that I don't fandom hop anyway, but I was so disappointed and angry, because the blasted thing wasn't salvageable without spending more money than anything on the laptop was worth.) :raritydespair:

Now I more or less try to back-up everything shortly after saving it. At least on Google Docs. I'm too lazy to backup the whole computer, though I know better. I figure most of the other important stuff can go on a USB flash drive, if need be, and I used to make frequent saves to that but I sort of halted that semi-recently. I should get back into the habit, but cleaning them up after making major changes is a pain.

You have my deepest sympathy and regrets. I hope you're doing well btw. :duck:
