Spread the love, as far as you can. · 5:54am Nov 14th, 2013
This article on Yahoo struck deep for me today, and I just wanted to share some thoughts. For those who don't want to watch the video, a woman tells a reporter what her husband told her shortly before he passed away.
'Mo, how am I going to live without you?' And he said, take the love that you have for me and spread it around.'"
This reminds me of something my father probably would have told me. Some of my readers might know this, but I lost my father when I was 8 years old. He had a heart attack and never picked me up from my grandmothers house. When she took me home that night, I found him deceased on the couch. Several years later, when I was 17 I lost my brother to an aneurism that triggered a fatal heart attack. The following year I lost my grandmother, and this year we took a trip down to South Carolina to spread her ashes in a memorial service for her.
I spend everyday trying to be as happy and goofy as I can be, because I know that's how my family would want me to live. I know it seems like I'm rambling by now, but my point is, no matter how bad life is at the moment, there is ALWAYS a silver lining you can look at. If you focus on being happy, you will be. If you let yourself wallow in pity, you will be miserable. So get out there, put on a smile, and spread the love.
And don't forget, if it seems like things can't get any worse, they can only get better from here!
