So, here's some good news for everybody:

While I was at Nightmare Nights Dallas, I met the lovely and talented Companda. I normally do not buy prints, because that would require me to explain them to house guests, but I was so taken by her piece entitled La Jument Seleniaque that I had to make an exception.

Coming up in Chapter 7, there is one pivotal scene that I have wanted to see illustrated since day one. At one point, Palestorm was going to do it, but due to language difficulties, we just couldn't make it happen. He's done some amazing Luna artwork though, and I highly recommend that you visit his DA page.

Anyhow, Companda has agreed to take on my commission, and she will soon be creating a new cover image for Pericynthion. I was amazed by her level of dedication. Not only did she spend a good 5-10 minutes discussing the picture with me (while waiting to go get breakfast, no less...), but she even wanted to read the fic to ensure that she captured the right feel for the image. I was floored... what do you even say to that?

So, assuming everything goes well, we will have a brand new cover image to go with the story, right as the chapter featuring that particular scene is updated. I'm already stoked.

One last note that I'd like to push to everyone... Chapter 7 will spoil 95% of the Ender's Game plotline. If you have not read the book, please do yourself a favor and read it prior to the next chapter. The Kindle Edition is $4.00 (less than a cup of coffee!) and it will only take you a day or two to read.

I'm sure 99% of you have already read the book, but just in case, I thought I'd throw out that warning.

Oh, and go see the movie in IMAX if you haven't yet. I saw it today for the second time and the visuals were somehow even more stunning..
