so i was going to join the proof readers group and apply for proof reading AND HOLY HELL! It seems like a freaking job application. I have to fill out paper work, have a presentable user page...and all that shiz. First off I am a donating my time to help others out their write their stories...but i don't want it to feel like a business. When I first came to fimfiction it was all happy random stories everywhere and writers just being nice and friendly...NOW it is all formal, everything seems like a business...and the how to guides...listen... this is my opinion and you don't have to take it seriously...so be warned. Now you can't go to a how to guide to be a better writer. you have to learn from other writers and look at their work. What did they do successfully and what made it work. You have to look at other stories and go "oh so that is how he did it." and learn from it. Everything is just so...Robotic...formal...DUDE. This is fanfiction...not every thing has to be so formal. And yes Most of these points can be rebuttal and I will admit that this is shallow and you can all just ignore it...but this is my stance on the matter...and if you don't agree with me...well...I would be fine with it. if you want to discuss more then talk to me in the comments or a PM. Sorry about not doing much but life man....what can you do...ANYWAY ttyl bye! OH and...uh....something cute...

Don't worry, I agree with you. Fanfiction is supposed to be fun; an entertaining hobby where you can write about characters you like in situations they would never be in otherwise. I understand stuff to help others write better... but it shouldn't be as business-y as fimfiction is trying to make it.
1455695 I know...there are some things I do agree with...the character tag limit and type tag limits are great! But now when ever I look at the submit story box it gets longer and longer with things that you have to follow. some of them i agree with...and some I don't. They should also try to get more under achieved writers notice because you will usually see the same bunch of people get featured and they don't even have to try. They just have that sheer force of fans to do it for them. All in all...some things need to fix and they should stop worrying about adding unnecessary things to it. I think i went off topic on this comment.
