Hey! Calaboose! Get your flank out of here! Go on, this is my blog! Mine! Oh, wait, he seems to have said all that needs to be said. Hmm. Oh well, as he put it so eloquently; I've got a few ideas I'd like to try out. Each would only be a one-shot. If any of you want me to write a specific one, then why don't you leave a comment with your favourite idea and why. If you've got any outstanding ideas of your own that you'd like to share; I'd be willing to lend an ear, though I won't guarantee I'll write it. Anyway, here are the choices:
Night Terrors (Title Pending) - Whenever Pinkie falls asleep she is contacted by a mysterious villain. After a week of trying to ignore him, he warns her that the world is going to end. Is he real? Is he telling the truth? (The astute among you might recognise this concept piece from the compilation I put up a while ago.)
The Clarinettist - Octavia, Frederic, Beauty Brass and Harpo receive a mysterious new band member whose skill with the clarinet is phenomenal. But, just who is she? and where did she come from?
Piefight at the O.K. Corral - Pinkie Pie decides to tell the Cake Twins of the legendary piefight between the Earps and some no-good Cowponies. Pinkie can't help but insert herself and her friends into the story, and her memory is more than a little patchy.

Here goes my opinion!
The clarinettist could potentially be interesting, although it's kinda hard to make accurate opinions without knowing the plot in more details. What were you thinking about it? Is she an alien or similar? Or is she just a normal Pony brought up in an orphanage and is trying to make a name for herself (well... not necessarilly that, but you know what I mean)? I would personally prefer some kind of strnage alien tale but hey-ho, that's just me (but not an "I'm gona go in and kill all of y'all" kinda thing).
And that Pinkie thing may be funny if you can do it right and get Pinkie down well and everything.
But yeah, these are my opinions.
Or you could write the idea you gave me a while ago which was basically Jurassic Park with Ponies...
72596 I was thinking either a human or some kind of ex-secret agent. Because as you know, you never leave the spy game. Making her human would give an excuse for a lack of backstory. Perhaps she realised long age that she could never get back, and decided to craft herself a like in Equestria? I honestly don't know, and I've got two more chapters to write up before then anyway, so I do have extra time to plan.
The story would have to get off-topic several times, perhaps Twilight co-narrates and they argue over details? Pinkie constantly trying to make the story more interesting and appealing, whilst Twilight tries to keep it factual and bloodless, but they often force the other into compromises and try to adapt the story around them.
As for Jurassic Park, this is supposed to be a one-shot. I suppose it might work. Hmmm. I'm not entirely certain. Jurassic Park with ponies or the dinosaurs or humans? Theoretically they could plan the human role for a violent adventure, or the dinosaur role for a comic take. Hmm. I must think on this.
