The following selection has been scrapped from a 30,000+ word clopfic I hope to press out this week or next, but due to the removal of all this text plus life changes, I might be set back a day or so. Still, I invite you to see what 500+ words of failed text looks like, since it fails to carry the plot or purpose of the scene.
Scrapped Passage from an upcoming Silver Belle(?) Clopfic
“Tch, what’s up with you, talking like you’ve got any more experience than me and this kid,” Silver Spoon said, emphasizing the last word word with such venom that it would put even a king cobra through its death throes.
Sweetie Belle’s ears flushed a light pink as she debated how to properly respond to her lover’s uninformed statement. “Well about that…”
“Excuse me?” Silver Spoon asked sharply.
Pound merely rose an eyebrow in bemusement at Sweetie Belle’s comment.
“Umm… you see…” Sweetie Belle tapped her hooves together nervously, doing her best to avoid eye contact with Silver Spoon. “The thing is… I’ve… I’ve actually done it with a guy before.”
“You… what?” Silver Spoon hissed.
Had Pound any popcorn on him, he’d be eating it slow. Agonizingly slow. This was getting interesting.
“Silvy, please don’t be mad, I can explain.” Sweetie Belle reached out to her fiancé but quickly found her hoof slapped away and stinging.
“You... you despicable bitch. Don’t you fucking touch me.”
“Please listen, I can—”
“Shut up.”
“Silver Spoon—”
“Shut. Up. I don’t want to hear another word,”
“Will you just listen to me?”
“Why should I listen to you, huh? Why should I should I trust the words of someone who violated my feelings? Tell me, please, I’d love to hear you justify your infidelity.”
“Dammit, Silver Spoon, I’ve never cheated on you!”
Silver Spoon grit her teeth with enough force to chip a gemstone. “You’ve got some nerve haven’t you? To say that you’ve been with somepony else besides me and still have the gall to say that you’ve never cheated on me.”
“I… I did say that, and it’s the truth. It happened and while I’m not proud of it, I can honestly say that I’ve never cheated on you.”
“Oh, really?”
“Yes, and if you’ll just give me a chance I can explain.” Sweetie Belle seized Silver Spoon’s hoof tightly as she pled for her scorned lover’s understanding. “Please, just listen to me, I’m begging you. Just give me a minute and I’ll sort this misunderstanding out, please.”
Original continuation pt. 2: Silver Spoon snorted and ripped her hoof out of Sweetie Belle’s grip. “You’ve got twenty seconds, twenty seconds, to explain yourself before I call off this engagement and walk out of that door and your life forever. Now talk.”
“Thank Celestia, you’ll listen.”
“Nineteen... eighteen…”
“All right, look: do you remember that really nasty we had the night of senior prom? The one that got so out of control that we didn’t speak to eachother until graduation a month later?”
Silver Spoon scoffed, but decided to humor Sweetie Belle. “Yes.”
“You ended up not going because of me, right?”
“Well, that night I went alone

“All this time… why didn’t you ever say anything?”
“Because I was embarrassed and afraid you wouldn’t
“I was going to tell you, but I just didn’t know how.”
