So, I just caught Xerneas.

I'd been planing to savescum for good stats (like I always do with legends even though they aren't competively legal, and I don't even compete anyway, it's still a legend though, so I kind of want it to be tough on principle alone), but it turned out I didin't need to. On my very first try I got one with perfect IVs of 31 in physical attack, special attack, and speed, plus a respectable IV of 29 for HP and 28 for special defense. It's only real flaw is a paltry IV of 2 for physical defense, which is admitedly a prety big flaw and I'd have prefered if the two defensive stats were reversed (his geomancy buff would be able to cover up such a flaw). Still, all those other stats were just too good to through away.

To say I'm satisfied would be an understatement... even shocked and amazed doesn't really cover just how ecstatic I am about this.

So, how's your game coming along?

I beat the elite four (oddly something I rarely get around to in most games), and am curretnly trying to catch Aticuno, but by Tartus's gates the roaming mechanic is more annoying this generation than EVER before. The suckers runaway before you even get the option of attacking and so as I understand it you have to track them accross nearly a dozen encounters before they go to the location where you are finally allowed to catch them. On top of that Kalos is huge so, it takes forever to actually get anywhere --flying is as always not an option because it causes them to randomly relocate-- and it only gets more tedious due to the animation sequence that you have to sit through every time you go to check the pokedex to see where the legend is at.

Ah, excelent.

I'm going to get around to some IV stuff soon enough myself. Starting from the ground floor though, which means breeding... lots and lots of breeding. I've already got all six power passing trinkets from the battle mansion (event Blaziken plus a protean Greninja I got from a lucky wonder trade made it all too easy), and now I just need to get a full set of Ditto for each IV. Got HP, defense, sp.atk, sp.def, and I think maybe a speed, but what I really need is one for attack since first up on my breeding list is Honedge.

Anyway, on an interesting note about IVs, I've heard that apparently Pokemon from the friend safari always have two 31s. Also, ditto is apparently one of the pokemon possible to find their. Unfortunatly that's not much help to me currently as you are my only registered friend and the safari I get from you is ghost type; that still offers me some interesting other options to work with. Too bad golurk is genderless though, otherwise I could just use it to father some Honedge.
