    Help In a search

So a few years ago I found a story that featured a mute filly. I want to find this story again but have no idea where to look. The main thing I remember about it is this filly had notecards to communicate with and was born with the problem and it was mostly slice-of-life, with the filly going to school with the crusaders.

    Anyone remember this story?

    Hello... again

Well, as some of you may have seen, I have now, finally, updated There Armor Than One. After a much, much longer haitus than I meant to give it.

    Status Update

As I am sure many of you are aware, I have been even less active than usual as of late. Without going into details, I lost someone very close to me recently and I've been trying to cope. I've lost much of my creative 'juice,' for lack of a better term, and many of my former hobbies I lost interest in, including this site.

    Progress Report

As I am sure you are all aware, I have not been very proactive when it comes to writing There Armor than One as of late. For that I am sorry. What with college and all the new stresses that come with, I've lost my 'creative juice' with regards to my stories. Oh sure, I've been day dreaming about TAtO, and several other ideas that have been rumbling through my head. (May or may not be a Stargate

    Updates

So I have once again returned from an unexpected, unannounced, and unclaimed hiatus... Yeah I've realized my track record isn't that great. However, there is good news. I have the next chapter of TAtO halfway finished about, and I hope to have it published before Friday. That being said, I am currently packing for land grab and the first week of Pennsic. Therefore I may not be able to update

Alright. I have some confessions to make. First of all, and this will come as a big shocker:

I haven't done much writing since I got my new computer. I know, I know. I'm a horrible person. And I am truly sorry. However, I have perfectly sound excuses reasons as to why. 1) I'm Lazy School. I'm in AP classes one grade level ahead of what I would normally take if I were not as smart as I am. Unfortunately, this means work, and lots of it. As such, the only time I spend on here is when I'm taking a break, at night, or the odd time on the weekend. Therefore, very little writing time. 2) I Procrastinate I have a completely full schedule for my first semester, with no study halls or 'slacker' classes till 3rd quarter. Therefore I can't write during school as I did last year.

All of these things considered, I have decided to drop some stories. I WILL keep De Pennam, and I WILL drop trials of a SCAdian (though it will be replaced by another story with a SCA fighter that won't leave me alone. Damn muse. Meh) However, I want to ask you guys what else I should drop, between

Half-Life X MLP
The Ranger's Apprentice
or
Missing in Action.

I know you may not want to lose any story, and neither do I, but I have too. Otherwise it is just too much. At least I'm being nice and letting you guys decide what will be deleted as opposed to doing it myself (which would have been Half-life, that train wreck of an attempt at a story still haunts me. However, I can save it with lots of work, but unless you guys want it kept, it will go bye-bye)

Anyway, I will leave this here for a week. I want you guys to choose one (or two, but only one will be dropped) story that you want me to drop, and I will tally it up and then drop the one with the most 'votes.' Sorta like Survivor, voting a story of the island.

Once that is completed, I will try to get to work on the stories remaining, though I cannot promise anything until (at the latest) January. For that I apologize, but real life comes first.

Half life was rather the story that got me to find you in the first place my friend. Despite it's train-wreck, It's still a great part of who you are. I doubt you'll ever fully dispose of it. At best, it will be removed from this site, only to pop up again, fully rewritten, in a year or so. If anything, it was your first published foray in to this real of ponies, and thus it will always hold a place in your heart and mind, as well as those of your readers. It will never truly die.

As for my vote on which of the 3 in question to drop? M.I.A.: Galaxy would be my choice. Simply because it's an entirely original universe. These kinds of stories generally take the most time and effort to write, as you have to provide the reader with all kinds of information they would never be able to get anywhere else. As well, you have to get the reader to understand and attach themselves to this new universe, which can almost be as hard as creating it.

I am not, in any way, shape, or form, however, saying you should give up on any of these entirely. I believe that they are all wonderful stories that deserve a second chance. However, real life, a cold hearted bitch as always, gets in everyone's way, and we are no exception. I only hope that whichever story you do decide to drop may someday roam the web once more, with a new, shiny narrative attached.
