Has everyone here read Wild, Sweet, and Cool by Kwakerjack?
Wild, Sweet, and Cool has some grade-A worldbuilding about pegasi, as well as being one of the best depictions of Rainbow Dash around. It characterizes Twilight Sparkle as something other than an amusing neurotic, too. Her abilities at research are critical to the storyline! Rainbow Dash comes to her because Twilight is smart!
Pony anatomy matters to the course of events!
It's not even a shipping story. It's Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash bonding as friends over something in-character for both of them.
Wild, Sweet, and Cool recently displaced The Moonstone Cup as one of my primary recommendations, because WSC does a better job at introducing the characters, the setting, and the ideas of what it means to be a pony living in Equestria. This story is worthy of being one of the core elements of our fanon. It even has some bonus relevance now that Twilight Sparkle is an alicorn. Don't take my word for it, though. Go read it.
Sweet, more Kwakerjack.

This isn't new. I'm pointing to something that's been on the site for a long time! Good stories deserve periodic bouts of new attention.

That explains why I never saw it getting posted then. Probably went up before I started following him.
And I can be kind of bad about going through someone's library. There is just so much pony on this site!

If I could trigger a fad of people posting links to stories from 2012, that would be awesome. Not because everything newer than that sucks (it doesn't!), but because new people are joining all the time. Check out that smooth linear growth pattern on the site statistics page!
