While I am disheartened, at least, at the thought of simply not writing more Rampant when I've kept people waiting on it so long, I am working on yet another new story before getting to the next chapter of Rampant. This isn't really an attempt to hype anyone; just letting my audience know that I'm still writing, just not quite what they want yet.
Partly, I'm still deciding how to continue Rampant. Since its inception, I've had plenty of ideas of where the characters go and what they do, but I was a little premature in how to tie them all together. I want to make sure some major elements aren't dumb before I put them out there, now that the cast is getting out of Ponyville. I want the story to constantly ramp up the thrill of the world, not just pad the story's length. When I do get back to Rampant, I plan to get back to it fast and smart. It'll get better, just not quite yet.
