Deleting chapters... · 8:35pm Sep 24th, 2013
So, in light of the recent PSA I am taking down the sequel notification chapters for Foal of the Forest and The Promise of a New Day to comply with site rules. I am aware that some of you have left comments on these chapters and that those comments will be lost. I apologize for that. I am now aware that the story-tagging feature in the blog that I've been using on various posts is not working. Hopefully, by the time Story 4 of Savage Skies is finished and ready for posting, that problem will be fixed. It's not going to be for a while yet, so don't worry.
I'm going to wait about a day before actually following through on this, in case you have something in the comments of those last chapters you wanted to save or recover (keep in mind that comments posted on the story page itself are relegated to the latest chapter posted), you have a chance to do so. Not much I can do about the people who don't follow me that commented, but...oh well.
By the way, since we're talking about following the rules, does anybody know if or where I can find a single definitive list of all the rules pertaining to being on this site? I've tried looking up this particular rule on the FAQ page and can't find it. The first time I heard about it was through the PSA released by one of the Mods. Is there some kind of single, comprehensive list of rules for this site that I'm completely overlooking somewhere? While it's yet to happen to me personally, I've seen a lot of authors get slapped down because they violated some rule that was apparently there for everyone to see, but didn't seem to know about it. A lot of times, it's what I considered fairly common sense stuff, but not anything I realized was an actual rule. So I'm getting a little worried about what things I might someday trip on if my ignorance remains unaddressed.
Maybe there should be a 'rules' section of it's own.
But... I can see where they're coming from. Guess I'd better delete the one on my story.
Main bar > FAQ > second section: Rules > Story Submission Rules > first bullet: "Things that obviously aren't stories: lists, polls, previews, challenges, author notes, chatlogs, etc."
That would be where they all are.
There is no definitive list that is open to the public. Most of it is supposedly obvious rules, but that has come under scrutiny as of late.
Just post that there is a new story in the Authors Notes that there is a sequel.... I won't notify us but it will tell future readers that there is a continuation..... That's the best I got....
You could put To be continued or something in your authors notes at the end of the last chapter.
1373331 That rule supposedly applied specifically posting stories (hence story submission rules), ie submitting something to the moderators that obviously wasn't a story. If they meant for that to apply to individual chapters as well, then they've been quite unclear about it, given the sheer number of people who apparently didn't get the memo (including yours truly).
1373627>>1373767 That's what I plan on doing. I'll also be posting the sequel link in the long description as well. Hopefully, by the time Story 4 comes up, they'll have fixed the story tagging system for the blogs so that everyone gets word when I post the next story.

if i remember correctly there in charge of enforcing them or at the vary least helps
he also has how to guides and stuff
and if that don't work tweet knightly Im pritty sure he will help or refer some one to you to help
I would just suggest asking the mods if they could send you a link or txt doc.
