I Am Making An Appearance To Make This Known

I was browsing youtube and I found evidence that Slam Jam indeed does go with just about everything.

Included are three links that, in my opinion, have me wondering why they haven't broken the internet yet.

Out With The Old, In With The Hewlett Packard

So I haven't been on the site for a good long while, and I apologize for that, but there's a reason, and I will say this as a warning and a piece of advice:

If you have a computer from 2001 and you're still using it as your main computer, GET RID OF IT AND UPGRADE!!!

Shadowed Pasts and Shining Futures Is Up

That's right, everyone! After a quick burp with the moderation process (on my part), the story is up and ready for reading!

Thanks again to everyone who helped with it. I really appreciate the ideas and assistance you provided. Without further ado, I leave you all to your own devices.

Have a great evening and remember, I'm pullin' for ya. We're all in this together. :raritywink:

It Makes You Think · 11:46pm Sep 14th, 2013

I had a little experience today while hanging out with my family.

We were tooling around town for my mother's birthday, just wandering around and visiting stores and such. On our way back to the car after one such stop, we see this old man, probably around eighty-something, struggling with a shopping cart that was stuck halfway off the sidewalk and into a patch of dirt. After extricating the cart from the dirt, we asked what was wrong and if we could help. Turns out, he was trying to get to his car some twenty yards away where his wife was unloading a cart of groceries and hadn't seen him struggling yet, explaining to us that he was using the cart as a walker due to his legs nearly giving out on him. I know twenty yards doesn't seem like that much to some of you, but to a man of that age and physic, twenty yards could seem like twenty miles. After waving her down, she brought their car closer, at which point I looked the man in the eye and said, "Let me carry you." Without hesitation, the man sat down in my grip and allowed me to carry him to his car, where his wife was waiting with tears in her eyes. I have never had an experience like this before, and it was... different. It made me stop and think, "What if we hadn't been there?". I find myself answering that question with, "Well, it's a good thing we were."

So that was my day. I helped an old man to his car by carrying him when he couldn't walk, and let me tell you...

I have never felt stronger in my entire life, not physically, but spiritually... or something. :rainbowlaugh:

Just thought I'd share this with you all. Thanks for taking the time to read this and such.

Well, I very well couldn't just leave him there, could I? I'd have a special place in hell reserved just for me, with my name on it and everything. :rainbowderp:

You have just restored my faith in humanity. It is random acts of kindness like what you did that have an HUGE impact on other people's lives. If I were in your shoes, I would, and actually have, done the same thing.
