The Toll of Clockwork Tower finished

After months of work is The Toll of Clockwork Tower finally done.

Firstly, I want to throw a huger-than-huge thanks to MelonHunter! Even if The Toll of Clockwork Tower didn't get... well, readers, his friendship, help and patience with me and editing The Toll of Clockwork Tower. All this wouldn't be possible without him!

A little delay in the last two chapters of Clockwork Tower.

A small misscalculation from my part results in that the two last chapter of The Toll of Clockwork Tower will be a little delayed. I'll try to get out the chapters as soon as possible, and I'll make sure to post information as soon as I know when they're done.

    The Toll of Clockwork Tower

First of all, to those who first followed The Toll of Clockwork Tower all those weeks ago: I'm terribly sorry that you've had to wait this long! But know that it was your likes that pushed me towards continuing writing, and finishing, Clockwork Tower.

As of today, 13/10/13 (That's Day, Month, Year, Swedish standard), is The Toll of Clockwork Tower back, and will be updated frequently.

Slight update (If anyone out there actually cares) regarding The Toll of Clockwork Tower.

Firstly, let me just say sorry for not having said anything earlier.

The Toll of Clockwork Tower is still in the making, and the story is actually finished, at least in the retrospect that It got a beginning, a middle and an end that is put together in a big entity.

Cleaning out the old, starting with the new. · 1:05pm Sep 6th, 2013

Today, I decided that it was finally time. Today mark the fall of everything I've written up to this point.

Today, I cleared my Gdrive from everything that's not current. That means that all my old stories, from the finished stories Chimes in the Dark and After Discord (both crap imao), to the unfinished stories Fallout Equestria - SAT and Rigor Mortis, have been erased. Never to be finished or worked on again.

In Rigor Mortis case, I might take it up from a fresh start again in the future. Very little was planned around it, so that's simply a blank page with a few things noted down in the start. For SAT, it's the complete end.

In reality, SAT ended about three chapters before the current one. That was the point when I knew that I would never be able to finish it with a character I could stand behind. That would be liked. And while I had so much I wanted to show, to share, to create! in that small piece of fiction... I realized I wouldn't be able to live up to it.

That it would take to much of my time and just make me feel bitter once the last word was down. Cogwheel, and even more Bolt, Spitfire, and Free, were characters I both loved and hated, wanted to nourish and destroy. To just leave their story unresolved feel like cheating them on their right to live, but I rather cheat them on that than give it an end that make their life meaningless from the start.

Today, after my first weeks on University (or rather, my first week in "real" university and not the "Technical Basic year" I took last year), I feel that it's time to cross over the previous chapters of my writing. Start over again, without the past stories lying there and wanting to be written.

For all of you that have loved SAT, who have read it and yearned for the next chapter: I can't tell you how sorry I am. While I myself haven't heard a lot, I've heard from a few friends that other's seems to speak warmly about my story. Even if there's just a single person, I couldn't ask for more. I doubted even one person liked it.

For the rest of you, whether you've only read a single story, or only marked it to read one day, thank you. Seeing the view count on a story, as well as the like count, tick up... that's the best feeling I can get. Only triumphed by the feeling of a comment every now and then.

Right now, I'm working on The Toll of Clockwork Tower. If things go like I want, the first chapter out of thirteen will be released in a few weeks, once all editing is done. Hopefully, I'll find a reader or two in that.

I want to wrap this up with a few thanks:
The first I want to thank is Masquerade313. I've not spoken with him in a long time, but without him, SAT wouldn't have made it further than an idea. He've helped me more than he can realize.

Doomade. I completely lost contact with you after I withdrew from SAT and the FoE community. If you're still out there, don't shy from sending me an email! You're an awesome person, and, like Masquerade, have helped me in more than one way through my writing.

Tonto the Trotter. I'm sorry I never finished SAT. Know that I've never seen a heart as big as yours. Not only did you commission the cover picture for SAT, but you also helped me with discussions. Not to mention the wikia! Keep on being awesome!

Tranquil Maelstorm. Even if you might never read this, thanks for being a wonderful friend!

Melon Hunter. Without you, Clockwork Tower would never be finished. Thanks for pushing me, even by just reading it! You're one in a million. (Also, apologizes for my lousy behaviour, always complaining on ;) )

Nick Nack. One of the better friends I've made in this fandom. Even if we met by a simple PM sent, today, 33 weeks and 4 days ago, I've quickly grown to have you as a close friend. Keep being awesome, you griffin crazy person!

And, last but not least, all the people who've, at one point or another, read one of my stories. Thank you. Without you, even if it's a simple like or a view on my story, I wouldn't have been pushed into continuing writing. It's not for myself I write, it's for you!

//Faindragon, who hopefully will have Clockwork Tower out in time!

Well ... this is just sad ... I loved Cogwheel, he was somewhat original FoE character ... Well still thanks for what was written.

PS: You really should not delete/destroy/scrap anything you have EVER made, done, designed, ... (choose your obsession and the word to go with it). You never know when you might want to go back (and do NOT say you never will, cuz never say never). Even if not for "getting back to it to finish it" but just for "I did this XY years ago and I loved it".

But you do not have to listen to me ... I could be wrong (and I am definitely a bit loony), even through this comes from personal experience.

Your faithful reader and undying SAT fan, Leo.

While I generally would never remove everything like this, I did it for another reason as well.

Clockwork Tower, as well as Silence (more about that later, maybe) will be my last (two last?) MLP fanfics.

I just LOATHE writing pony anatomy. Creating a story with humanized and/or anthro characters are, in my eyes, close to spitting the show creators in the eye and saying "Thanks for the setting, sucker! I'm stealing that!"

And no, never say never. However, by removing it like this, I make sure that it's not something I'll return to. Because I don't WANT to return to it; much for the fact that I will never be able to finish it like it deserves.

Still, I want to thank you. For making me question if what I did was right. I actually doubted that anyone would care.

Well I cant see in to your head, so your reasons are your own and all I can say is that I would not do that. I can and will respect your decisions.

As for that caring part. I think that everyone that read SAT (or any other, now cancelled, story of your creation) WILL care. Especially with long stories - characters, settings and ideas grow on to your readers. And if the readers like your stories, they will care.

And an age comes to an end.
Thank you for all of your stories. Even though you may not think too highly of them, I have always enjoyed them and looked forward to what you would bring in the future. (I'm not crazy, I swear!)
Anyways, I hope to see your new work in whatever form it may be~

Silver~
