I'm Not Dead!

I feel happy...

It's nearing a year since my last 'post,' or my last spur of activity whatsoever, aside from checking in on the site, reading some stories, adding stories to my already insanely long Read Later list that I'll probably never get through (673 Stories and counting!), and reading the site's blog posts. So overall, I haven't done much. Visibly.

Way back when in November of last year (It honestly doesn't seem too long ago. Oh how time flies.) I mentioned I was working on a story. Other than that, I didn't give many details. Since then, I've completed the outline of the overarching story, and have actually begun writing it, albeit quite slowly, if at all. Because of that, I feel a bit more comfortable giving a few details.

It's another Luna story, for one, and I'm trying to write it in the first person, which is a first for me. If it ends up not working out, I'll change it back to third person, and rewrite what I have to, but so far it hasn't given me any troubles. (Or so it seems.) Also, it's going to be the first multi-chapter story I've written, which has me a bit nervous, and indecisive. Should I publish chapters as I get them done (slowly), but have a steady stream of them, or should I get several done, post them over time, and try to keep up the pace so I don't end up going to option one? I'm going to try to attempt the latter, but we'll see how that works.

I'm also planning on trying to find someone to pre-read it/yell at me for trying to do a first-person Luna, and failing miserably. To this date I've been doing all editing by myself, which obviously is a hinderance. I don't know anyone who's willing, has time, or has the tools necessary to pre-read them, so I've got to find someone, perhaps in a group. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it, but if anyone reading (I.E. All two random people who stumbled on this page. ;P ) wants to pre-read, I'll gladly accept any help I can get.

All of that said, I wouldn't expect this any time soon. I've been extremely busy the past few months, and it's not showing any sign of letting up, nor do I believe it will. Starting tomorrow, I'll try to start up writing again, but this process will probably take a while, especially with the length I'm planning. (I'm hoping for at least 12 chapters, not including a prologue or epilogue. There's a reason for that number, but that'll have to wait.) I'm planning on starting to release them once I get around 4 finished, and I'm a little way into the first, but that's after they've been edited, then edited again, then pre-read, then edited again... I want this to be good, but I don't know whether I'll succeed or not. That said, I'll do my best.
