Update on "The Rising Elements: Shield's Line"

Alright, so I mentioned that part one in our series "The Rising Elements" is called "Shield's Line" so I feel I need to update you guys since we've hyped this project a little (truthfully, I'm actually getting tired of seeing Homer Simpson on the front page.)

Anyway, part one is actually almost finished but my bro needs to stop writing everything else and get it finished so that I have an excuse to finalize an idea for part two and get to work on THAT.

Another thing I want to say is that despite the fact that we've determined our heroes' names, we have actually only determined character designs for Stoic Shield and Diamond Dust. Freewind's design is almost finished, I just have to settle on something, but all we know about Terra Firma is that she's an Earth Pony. I've thought about having her with a muddy brown coat and a vibrant green mane and tail but her mane and tail styles are a complete mystery, as are her character traits, personality, and speech mannerisms. Freewind is a Pegasus (duh!) and I've thought of a backstory of him having been adopted into the Apple family, however... I can't figure out how to make that one work so I'm going to sideboard it for now. What IS staying, however, is his status as having been in The Wonderbolts. That won't be a free pass or anything, he's got his own issues and doubts and what he's dealing with won't be resolved in his first appearance in the story but he will have a connection to Terra Firma.

I think that's enough exposition for now.
