After over a year of waiting and multiple comments asking "So... what really is going on? is my theory correct?"...
Some might call locking up the pony who turned you into stone an act of revenge. For Discord, it's restoration. He'll have to keep Celestia from figuring out his lies before he gets back what he had taken from him... his family.
