First off, I want to thank everyone that has read my story's first chapter and the awesome responses I got. And no one disliked it (so far)! I am always trying to improve my writing skills, and the best way is to write often. Like, very often. That's what I was taught at college. Though I have a degree in psychology, I also minored in creative writing. A few of my submissions have even won some prizes during my undergraduate years!
Wow, now I feel old saying that :/ I am 23, and I am going into my second year as a master's student. I plan to get a degree (and hopefully licensure) in both clinical mental health and education counseling. I am not sure how long it will take, as I have to do internships for both. I plan to take classes in the summer as well, like I have been doing so far. Next semester will most likely be more hectic as I have to travel two nights out of the week to my classes, which two hours of traveling time, and 3 hours of class time.
But writing is my haven, and discovering fanfiction was probably a savior for me. I didn't have much to do during my recoveries from surgeries (I've had 4 in the past few years, some minor and some major), and I have always loved reading. Except school work, but I was also on medication (and still am).
I also want to thank my cousin Michael for introducing me to this site. I am proud to have a brony cousin! I know we haven't seen each other in years, but from what Nana has told me you're doing good, and I'm glad ^_^ I'd love to come down and visit everyone, but I'm afraid it won't happen for a while.
Well, that's about it for now. I'm working on the second chapter and the outline as I go. That's generally how I write; I have an idea of the characters, setting, plot and ending, but I have to do a lot of connecting through writing. Anyways, I hope you all like the rest of my story. I can't promise I will update regularly (such as every week), but I will do my best to write a bit every day, even if it's just a sentence. While I am grateful to all who liked my story so far, I also write because I love it. It's a passion of mine, and I hope you all stay tuned for more chapters! :)
