Chapter 2 Progress (The Final Crusade) · 7:48am Apr 3rd, 2012
Just a heads up to let everypony interested in my story that chapter 2 is well underway, and the word count is incredible! As it is, chapter 2 already contains 3600 words with no sign of slowing down. While writing, i have also managed to think of possible solutions to Hard Cash's backstory (great idea imo and shit bricks worthy), and i even managed to squeeze in one of the newest young colts from the show, Rumble, all grown up and being the Stallion that he is. I am almost up to the action sections/final part of chapter 2, and i estimate that chapter 2 will reach ~5000-6000 words. After reading chapter 1 again briefly, it seems to kind of be good it was a small and somewhat rushed chapter, as all what happened up until the point Scootaloo ended in the hospital was the span of ~20 mins, while chapter 2 takes place over almost two days.
I should be able to get chapter 2 out by the end of the week at any rate, maybe less, its just that i am being very careful this time to go over each section in my head, to test if it reads/sounds okay before i hand it of for proof reading/fixing. If anyone cares, this next chapter is about Appleblooms life. Who will appear in it? At the moment i have another OC colt known as Penscribe, as well as Flim and Flam making a few appearances. We of course also have Rumble, and a past of Appleblooms that pushes the conflict between Scootaloo and Applebloom in future chapters, and a finale planned that will bond them together once again. With the chapter being kind of long, i also have some interesting action parts (including arson!) for good taste towards the mid/end section, as well as (maybe) the first look into the big fight that drove the CMC away.
Final thought too, that once this chapter is out, i will probably blog a timeline of events here so people understand what has been going on and roughly how many years into the future from MLP the story takes place.
FIRST! also, I cant wait for the next chapter. shame of it is, depending on when its released i wont be able to read it right away. thanks to work >.< But at any rate, keep them coming. It hard for me to write 1000+ much less over 3000, so I'm sure its gonna be good.
