In Which Don Quixote Says Goodbye

Goodbye!

Well, I suppose I have just a few more things to say. First of all, I won't be disappearing quite yet. I plan to edit my latest story before submitting it to the learned pre-readers of Equestria Daily. They will suggest revisions, and I will revise, and the cycle will repeat itself until the story is either featured on the site or rejected completely. (Being a cheerful pessimist, I expect the latter.) After that, I may pop in on FIMFiction from time to time, so please feel welcome to leave comments and whatnot.

I've enjoyed writing silly fanfics. My first was a mystery with background ponies; I had fun playing around with shifting perspectives and nonlinear storytelling. My second story was a comedy starring my favorite ponies, Twilight and Pinkie Pie and (of course) Derpy Hooves. The final story is one I really wanted to write. It mirrors the first in many ways, and—unlike the first—carries some personal significance. It's a story about insecurities and learning to move past them. As an insecure person, I found it satisfying to write. It's also a story about muffins, which are something to which we can all relate.

At the risk of being frightfully sentimental, I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has read my silly stories and given them a thumbs-up, favorite or comment—or criticism. It all helps, and I'm grateful.

The brony community is pretty awesome. I'm honored to be part of it, and it's been fun to hang out here for a while. Thanks, and Godspeed!
