In Which Don Quixote Announces His Imminent Departure · 12:41am May 4th, 2013
Don Quixote here, announcing that his latest story will almost certainly be his last.
I know nobody particularly cares. All the same, I wanted to let the reader of my stories (or readers; I'll be optimistic) know I'm not planning to write any fanfics after this one.
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is wonderful, and I love its fandom. Seriously, you guys are great. (You occasionally weird me out, but you're great anyway.) Whether funding charity projects, making music or arguing over which pony is best, bronies are awesome.
I'd like to keep writing silly fanfics, but I simply haven't the time. My life is crowded with so many obligations, commitments, complications and responsibilities that I have no choice but to cut out something. At this point, it's either silly fanfics or an all-important personal project. Fanfics can be great fun to write, but my other project is one I can no longer push aside.
I remain very thankful for those who've read my silly stories and given them a thumbs-up, favorite or comment. I also appreciate the criticism. The response to my stories has been truly encouraging, and I'm truly grateful!
My latest (and probably last) story has begun, and I'll do my best to make it a good one. Thanks for reading!

I'll really miss your works as they're very appealing and lots of fun. I wish you luck in your projects though and I as much as i'll miss the fic I think you're making the right choice in deciding to cut out fic instead of a big personal project. Maybe someday you'll have some time free and be able to come write again.
