Pony task force?

Many of you have something along the lines of "God no, don't do a pony Task Force 141 I beg of you!"

And I want to know as to why. Why wouldn't it be a good idea to let Equestria have a team of soldiers ready to save hostages, take care of situations that were normally out of bounds, or provide extra defence in case of an invasion? Of course, they wouldn't been badasses before Ghost started training them because that's like expecting the A-team or Master Chief to sign up for a bake sale.
