Rant with a bit of life wisdom (if you're into that sort of thing) · 1:23am Jul 2nd, 2013
Anyway, after working in the retail environment known as Wal-Mart, I have come to a conclusion. I am really happy that I don't need a lot of stuff to make me happy. It's an odd thought but I just wanted to write it down.
Disclaimer: Not hating on Wal-Mart, it's associates, affiliates, or anything about Wal-Mart in general. Just making a casual observation about myself... that is all.
That's a tough but good position to come to- learning to let go of a lot of material things is tough, because we often measure our worth by what we can accumulate...
I've found that finally getting rid of a lot of old, even sentimental, stuff has been a refreshingly freeing experience. A friend had a great rule: Except for tools and records, if you haven't used it in six months, (twelve for seasonal clothing), get rid of it.
Man, was his room clean.

Good advice and a good rule. Here's another one: want not, waste not.
By the way long time no see. How is excessive angles going?

>How's Excessive Angles going?
*sighs* It's not, while I was trying to make progress on something else.. but I really need to start working on EVERYTHING. Tell you what, I'll see if I can get a little bit of the next chapter fleshed out today.
I have a checkride coming up, though, so I have to do REAL work instead of "supposed to be fun" work.
How's the physical prep going?
