For all of those who are also celebrating July 1st today I can only say:
And so a little history lesson if you are inclined to read. In 1867 something called The British North American Act (which was then later named the Constitution Act) was put in place for the three colonies currently made up in Canada (seriously I have no idea which ones, but I think they were all part of the eastern provinces since crossing over from Asia might've taken too long for the europeans to populate the Wst Coast until later. But yeah, Red coats were British and Blue coats were French. Then they were like, 'hug me bro' and to this day we still have a lot of jolly good fun with unstable billingual language tradeoffs. Good times.)
Anyways, back in the day it was called Dominion Day, and it basically became a country known as Canada (well one of the colonies was named the Province of Canada. It's a province; not a country.) Though not officially recognized as a complete independant country the British still held their hands for quite some time.
But essentially July 1st marks the birth of when Canada was initially formed.
So woohoo! Now can someone explain to me why I am able to write this so easily instead of working on my fics or cover arts?
