LGBT Pride in London! · 5:35pm Jun 29th, 2013
Hey guys,
For once, I am actually proud to be in London. I went to the LGBT Pride festival in Trafalgar Square, and the amount of people there actually surprised me because, well, I'm used to just having people supporting LGBT rights on the internet alone. But there was 15,000 people there today.
Plus, it was really fun. I had a great time and even though I didn't know many of the music artists there, they were actually quite good.
So, if you're in the country look out for the LGBT Pride festivals, I know that there's going to be one in Brighton next month, and there will be one in Leicester Square in August. I really recommend it, so if you either live here or visiting you should really go! It's nice to see that people are finally beginning to accept eachother for a change! :)
As someone who's bisexual, broader acceptance of the LGBT community makes me happy. Glad you showed your support!
1177083 It made me really, really happy to see so many people attend, I've been so used to just having the internet support LGBT rights... It was great :) Plus, it was supported by our Prime minister AND the Mayor of London... (I sense the right for same sex marriage coming along in the near future!) I think there are some of the festivals around the States too, I'd really recommend it, it was so much fun!

Glad to see London making strides! But c'mon, you've seen my writing, how am I American? :p
1177129 Ah I suck at guessing places Don't judge me

I'm a proud Irish Newfoundlander!
1177167 Irish people for the win! What part of Ireland are you from?

I'm actually not 100% sure, since it was back a few generations, but I have relations with ties to Waterford, Ireland. It's ironic that my city is one of Waterford's sister cities!

1177179 Oh! Waterford! My cousins go to University there
I'm from Kilkenny... They're quite close, like 50 minutes away
1177180 Indeed, it's great to see society finally moving forward!

I intend to visit Waterford one day, just as a way to reconnect with my roots!
1177192 Ireland is a very beautiful country, I love it to bits there. The city centre (especially Dublin) is always packed but when you gradually get to the countryside the fields and the houses are so pretty, especially those houses that are just secluded on their own in one field. (As you can probably see, I go there at least 3 times a year... It's my favourite place) You should definitely visit there!
Pretty sure you know about WBC, considering the massive attention they require to live. This man is one of those guys you love to see, the one that turns their dickish attitude into hilarity. I would goto a LGBT supporting sort of thing, but to be honest, I don't get very much news on them.
1177608 Well you can find out what month the events are on here: LGBT pride locations
But yeah, they really are good fun!
