Dusting off the ole user page, activity ahoy! · 8:07pm Jun 18th, 2013
It's been a long time since I updated anything on here! January, to be exact, since the last indication that my two rambling tales of misadventure and nonsense were not utterly dead in the water. Fear not, loyal tiny handful of readers! I am still writing, albeit slowly with a few setbacks. Namely, the S3 finale's momentous ascension that either obliterated nearly every fanfic yet written, or forced them into alternate universe status.
The Twilicorn drama is, for the most part, dead and buried for most of the fandom, until S4, and I am a bit on the fence yet leaning towards 'dislike' regarding the overall impact this fact will have on the show and the fandom; nevertheless, it doesn't bother me that much, and I shall either add an alternate universe tag to the story or continue pretending it never happened in Isaac's Storm, for it would dramatically change the dynamics of the tale.
Second off, I am hesitant to continue writing as I am, for the reading of many other fanfics in the intervening period has led me to conclude that my writing skill is not up to par with the idols I wish to emulate; I can bring poetry and short stories to life quite vibrantly, but longer pieces require a level of talent I do not yet possess. This leads me to the ultimate decision that I must find a pre-reader (or pre-readers, even) and perhaps an editor to check the chapters before they go public. I will do this before the next, nearly complete chapter goes up.
But I shall stop rambling, as few follow me for my writing, as HiE and generic lost-love stories win few fans amidst the masses of better fiction on the site! It is not my goal to become super famous but rather to mingle with site users and join in the reverie in the comments of good stories. This, I shall attempt to do in the future, more so than the silence I have retreated to as of late.
The Flitter and Cloudchaser (or Stormwalker, if you're up to date on that fascinating piece of behind-the-scenes discussion) group is reaching astronomical levels of success and I am floored at the wonderful response the various groups I am associated with has garnered; look for me to actually work in those groups alongside the excellent admins I've promoted and turn them into more than just a pretty page!
Seven81493 has surprised me rather pleasantly and unexpectedly with an in-progress fic starring the two best background ponies, which quite made my day and even month, a fic which I look very much forward to reveling in once this excellent writer who you should go follow now wraps up his writing performance and publishes the masterpiece.
And lastly, but not least...ly, meetups! I had the great pleasure of going with the Bronies of Alabama to Fairhope, AL, for the weekend - a short walk to Mobile Bay, a short drive to Gulf beaches/shopping, and a long series of gaming adventures made for an excellent weekend with excellent friends, including Applechip and perhaps others who may have an account here. Indeed, I do hope to attend a fifth group meetup as soon as it's planned, as the first four have proved spectacular. I plan to attend Sweet Apple Acres Con in Nashville in less than a month, if and only if their horrible venue situation is resolved in time for the con to go on as planned; as I've had a ticket since November and have been looking forward to the con for even longer than that, it would be a tragedy if it was cancelled. But after that con, I shall be again going with our Alabama group to Maryland for BroNYcon - my first attendance of that grand event! Further meetups and cons are likely as the year drags on, hopefully making 2013 the most spectacular year yet, full of travel, fun, and ponies!
Alas, I ramble; until next time!
Dude, welcome back, even though I just came back. Not sure if I can welcome anyone then.
And I'll preread the shit out of you if you need me to. Stay metal, and Flitterchaser worshiping.

WA-HA-HAA! Welcome back as well, then! Nice to see fine folk making a triumphant return.
Thank you so much! I may have need of these services in upcoming tales, for as usual I'm plodding along with no idea what I'm doing, hoping words come out of the keyboard.
