It was midway through Season Three when I wrote the last few chapters of Isaac's Storm. Since then, show canon has pretty much overwritten a great majority of the concepts I wanted to explore with the story. Primarily, I refer to Isaac's 'base of operations' in Golden Oaks Library being sort of completely obliterated by Tirek, Twilight becoming official royalty and thus bypassing some of Celestia's roles in the story, the castle in the Everfree being more thoroughly explored (though ironically

Yeppers, lessons came the hard way back in those days! So much was just trial and error. At least in '15 they had a seawall, though of course it didn't prevent it from still being a disastrous storm. Still, given 1915 technology, they handled it rather well.
