When they just love a story idea so much that they write it up, then realize it's far from presentable with their first draft and they don't know how to fix it.
Then they get featured on FimFiction.
Oh wait, but I don't write about TwiDash shipping, so that won't work. Ha!
Also took Red Sky down for the time being to work on some extra tweaking.
Shipping and trolling always get the attention. It's deeply-thought stories that are left to rot in the dark.
I like storys whit info. And I need to make a total rewrite of a fiction I am working on. And it has nothing to do whit my X-COM

Can't wait to read it!

I personally hate writing shipping and trollfics, so it looks like I'm never going to get anywhere on this site! Oh well, I enjoy writing, so it doesn't matter. I haven't heard from you in a few days, also. Assuming you've just been busy!
45163 I have... I'm currently revising my fanfic in order to meet EqD standards. Then I'll proceed to think about your story description.
So much to do.

OH shoot, I totally forgot to preread Forever Yours. Shoot. I offered a friend to edit his chapters of 'Dude, We're Ponies' which are already up on the site, so I put that first. I'll get right on it during English class. Prereading is English enough.
45150 You forgot to mention 'Nerd bait'. It's so bloody easy to get views just by referencing a stupid geek-movie in your fic's title or something like that.
I am also totally a hypocrite willing to milk this for all it's worth:P
Anyhow, regarding the blog post, I'm looking forward to the revised version. If I may ask, what are the kinds of things you'll be changing?

The revised version will deal with all your concerns while also just overall improvement of narration between the stallions fortelling of the chosen heroes. He does a lot of explaining and not a lot of interesting actions. I'm also going to put in a bit of foreshadowing and some dialogue change so the readers know that it isn't going to be a generic 'hero is chosen, goes kill ganon- I mean the bad dude' story.
45181 Good, good. 'The chosen one' is not a bad trope in itself (ever heard of this thing called 'Harry Potter'?) but you do need to go the extra mile to make sure that your heroes will actually be heroic, rather then simple pawns of fate. That requires some planning, but I'm sure you can pull it off.
And there's that word again: 'Trope'. Which reminds me that I should really direct you to TVTropes.org. Awesome website for starting writers. It's a huge wiki listing all sorts of tropes (you might know them under the derogatory term 'cliché'), plus loads of examples from different media showing how others handled said tropes. Like this. Truly the next best thing besides a degree in Literature.
It will take a while to get through the damm thing, though. Expect to be trapped for at least a few hours if you're new there.
45191 It's hard for me to navigate that site, but it looks interesting now that I can actually see an article lol. I'll check more of it out. Also, I can't take Harry Potter seriously. I mean come on.
45230 Navigation is a little tricky at first, yeah, but it's worth learning. Seriously, so much info on the theory of narrative.
Also, Harry Potter did a whole lot of things right. I personally didn't like any of the books that came after the Goblet of Fire, but up to then, it was fine. It is right to learn, even from the enemy.
Unless that enemy is Twilight. In that case, try not to learn a thing.

Twilight has a pretty interesting premise in my opinion. The way it's dragged out though is just... horrible.
The premise at it's most very basic is okay. Anything that comes after that was just wrong. Truly a celebration of an abusive relationship.
