So my status updates have pretty much been "Oops, no progress" for the past few weeks, and this is no exception except for the fact that I am telling you some stuff right here: I should start being on schedule by tomorrow, and there should be no way that I'm not on schedule by Wednesday (I have a lot of things to do on Tuesday, so I can't be on schedule then except for going to bed on time and waking up on time).
There is one piece of news for which I'm waiting, though, and that might drive me into insomnia for months... which would be bad for you, bad for me, and just generally bad for everyone involved.
Assuming that doesn't happen, though, I did manage to get to bed pretty close to on time last night and I see no reason why I would be unable to get to bed on time tonight, which means I can wake up on time and start doing my schedule again... sort of.
See, I had hoped to put off getting back on schedule until I got my new computer assembled (since several things on my schedule are going to require a better computer), but my hopes and dreams in that area have been dashed thanks to a combination of the money I needed taking two more days to arrive and idiocy from my bank. So, basically, I have a sound card, a case, a hard drive, and some thermal compound that will be arriving before this Saturday (possibly)... and nothing else. Friday is really when I'd prefer to build it, because that's when I can be sure that my working surface is clean (no, it can't be any other day just because I want it to be, and the reason why is a long story that I will not tell... at least for a few months, but more likely a few years). Saturday... I can do it, but it's pushing it.
But that doesn't matter, because my bank won't let me buy the friggin' stuff, since I've never purchased from Newegg or NCIX previously and I'm having to jump through some hoops to be able to buy from them. At worst, I'll be able to get that money to them through Paypal, but that will take several days for the transfer.
Anyways, I did update my build and I started an account on PC Part Picker, so the link should now automatically update if I change that build. Everything I have left to order except for the motherboard is currently coming from Newegg. Chances are, if I do update anything, it'll just be to get cheaper RAM. Oh, and I put my notes about the build on there, too, so now I don't need to rant about the build everywhere I post it.
So I won't be able to put off my schedule until I get my new computer, since school starts on Tuesday (shouldn't interfere with my writing), but I will be writing. Or editing, rather, since the writing part of the first chapter of my new fic (which still needs a name) is already done.
