why is music so expensive these days? seriously, a single song is $0.99 on itunes, and even that's pushing it. CDbaby is $1.50 a song and amazon is $0.99 as well. does anyone else find that ridiculous, I mean if music costs that much then I can understand why so many people are pirating. Hell, I'm pretty anti-piracy (at least in video games, the rest I don't care about) and I still rip most of my music off youtube. I think the problem is with the companies thought since I've never seen a single song deviate. from the standard price.
any thoughts?
And movies. Don't like pirating them either.
But that can be low quality
Those are pretty much all my thoughts. No deep and meaningful stuff here, soz.
1105371 I don't like ripping stuff of youtube, but Its often a pain to find the place to buy an offline copy. movies are generally off limits, I really don't pirate that much stuff. music is kind of different, it that it's relatively expensive if you want to get a lot of it (which I do) even though you an listen to it free off youtube.

I didn't mean buy them instead of ripping from YouTube, it's more that there are sites you can download better quality mp3s from, that's all. Sometimes, you can really hear the difference between something ripped from YT and something downloaded off of an mp3 site.
1105526 meh, I don't necessarily trust them. also, I doubt that quite a few of the people I listen to will be there...

*shrug* I've found all the songs I've looked for. Then again, I've downloaded a total of seven (non-poni) songs since October last year, so I don't have all that big a recent sample size to go by.
