A slight problem...

I have a story idea that I want to write. I think it's got a lot of potential, and to be honest, it's the first real story that I've wanted to write in about a year. Just one problem. I don't really want it to involve pony. Now, this wouldn't be a problem except for the fact that this site exists, and there are no decent sites for non-fanfiction that I know of. So really, either I get by on technicality by having the cast be pony's which I kinda don't want to do, or I find a alternative.
I don't know, I really like the feedback aspects of places like here and fanfiction.net, not to mention the community, but I want to do something that isn't really tied into this fandom. Sorry if this seems a bit winy.
