But I'm not a changeling!
In a bizarre alchemical accident, the hapless pony has been doused in a strange brew that has the most unsettling effects. When the mind dwells upon somepony, the potion takes effect. With a green flash, rather than flames, the pony turns into that which has been thought about-- such as reading a trashy magazine about Spitfire in a provocative article.
Poof, suddenly turning into a surprised Spitfire.
Poof, now becoming the accusing pony across the way who is pointing a hoof and yelling, "Changeling...!"
Poof, now the guard pony (sans armor and spear) coming for them.
Poof, now some stranger who was bumped into while fleeing from the growing lynch mob of ponies and guards.
...you get the idea.
Let the shenanigans commence!
