So hi, hi, hi, hi, hi... hiiiiii... hhhhhiiiiiiiiiii. Ok enough of that.
I've decided that it is in the best interests of myself to use the blog function that fimfiction has been offering me for so long. To be honest, I really don't know why it's taken me this long. I guess the updates section of my user page wasn't really doing what it was supposed to. I'm not really sure how the blog works but I think the people who are watching me get a notification whenever I make a blog post. That means that some people may actually end up reading the updates I want them to know about which would be nice. Having said that, maybe people were reading the updates section but just didn't really care what it said... hmm... oh well. So the reason I've decided that this is so important is that now I can be more certain that my followers know what's happening. Now that I have that out of the way, on to the important stuff:
First up I would like to say that I'm not dead. I'm going through a time where inspiration has walked away in disgust and despair and self disparagement have come over to see what all the fuss is about. At first i just tried to push through and write anyway but I ended up writing pure rubbish, most of which I scrapped. I do intend to finish all my projects as soon as I think I can do a good job. It doesn't help anyone for me to write things that no one will enjoy.
Second up, I would like to say that this is not my only blog. I have a wordpress blog here but I don't ever often update it.
Now that I've said all that, I would like to repost something that I originally posted in my updates section. The reason I'm reposting it is that it's kinda important to me and I would like to think that people read it. Here it is:
Special challengey thingy-thing
Hey there, person who for one reason or another has decided to click on my user page. I know that I haven't exactly been master of updating my stories lately and I feel I owe you an explanation. Every time I sit down to write one of my various works in progress (not least Crying in Perfect Harmony) I find myself fundamentally bored. It's not that I enjoy the Flutterdash ship any less it's just that I feel my stories are beginning take on a really boring and predictable format. I want to try something new so I've decided to try this thing.
So, without further ado, here is the thing: I want people to send me a challenge. This challenge is open to any ship, (yes, that means incest too. *shudders*) any genre, any AU and any other thing you can think of that's probably slipped my mind. You can either PM me the challenges or leave them as comments on my wall, whichever you prefer.
Example: I challenge flutterdashforever to write a Derpydash story in which Derpy has lost the ability to fly and Dash helps her get through the emotional baggage of that. genres will be hurt comfort, romance and sad.
Now that's just an example, feel free to get creative. I'm doing this mostly as an experiment. I don't know if a person is supposed to have more followers before they try something like this and there's every chance that I won't actually get any challenges. In that case I guess I'll just have to get a randomly generated one from a website. I hope I don't have to do that.
All challenges are welcomed and greatly appreciated. Although I will warn you that I have no intention of writing clop.
On another note. I have another story in the early stages of development. It's well within the random tag and is in need of a beta reader. Not sure if this is the best place to ask this but this is my page so I might as well. I don't want someone go just look at grammar and spelling for me. I need someone to read extremely critically and tell me exactly when I go too far, the more brutally honest the better. It contains genderbent mane six, genderbent Discord, large amounts of shipping and a whole lot of outright strangeness. If you think you might be interested, PM me for more information.
So there it is. I hope that now more people have read this although, as I've said, I don't really know how this blog works so maybe no one will ever know I posted this. I haven't yet decided if I'll get rid of the updates section of my user page or if I'll just change it to something else.
I fell like I should have some sort of trademark sign of like "live long and prosper" or something... hmm.... May your day be full of ponies and Owl City... yea, I like that, I'll be using that until further notice.
Oh. You're actually alive? Well, I'm going to need to check out your other stuff besides Food of Love and Matchmaker sometime.
A challenge? Well, I don't tell people what to do... but I could suggest something? Since you've said you're getting bored of doing the same thing, why not try other pairings i.e. Rarijack, TwiPie, or even just do friendshipping. I honestly can't give you ideas because... I really have none.
1032658 Yea, I was thinking something along the lines of another ship, but I just don't want the original idea to be even a little bit mine. Just to try to break the monotony, ya know?
