I really should have been done with the next installment by now, but I've been having some trouble getting to bed on time, which as you all know, throws off my day. To make matters worse, it has nothing to do with insomnia. Rather, the issue is that I've been staying up late talking with a friend. And being distracted a bit, but that's not keeping me up as late as the talking (when we do talk). Heck, I was up until about 1 AM this past Wednesday (technically Thursday) because of how long we spent talking. That may not be so late for some, but when your schedule says you're supposed to go to bed at 10 PM, well... that's a problem.
To exacerbate matters, I've been spending quite a bit of time in planning. I'll be getting some money in the next few months, and I wanted to spend it on a new computer (this one's dying), a cell phone (I haven't had any sort of phone in years), and upgrading my kitchen stuff. So I've spent quite a bit of time researching that because I want to buy things that will last this time. I'm sick of buying $20 mandolines that last a few months before I need a new one or non-stick pans that start chipping after just a month, which is especially bad when you consider the problems that chipping teflon may have on your health. Heck, I'm sick of teflon in general, so I went ahead and did some research into ceramic non-stick pans and electric griddles. That in and of itself took quite a lot of time.
Keep in mind that I'm not saying that it's not my fault that it's not done yet. It is and it should have been done already, and I'm sorry for that. The good news is that I think I'm done doing all the research on the kitchen stuff until I can actually buy it (at which point, I'll be shopping around to try to find the cheapest place from which to purchase this stuff).
Sorry it's taking so long. I'll try to have the first round of editing done by the end of the day today and then the second round done tomorrow, along with submitting it to my beta readers to see how they like it. It should be available for reading before next week's update, but don't expect a huge chapter like 001 was. This installment only had 630 words before the editing started.
