Scion of Chaos Anniversary · 8:39pm Apr 9th, 2013
Wow, it's been a year (and 2 days) since I published the first chapter of Scion of Chaos. I remember it all started as a modest attempt to get myself back into writing after reading a fair number of fanfics (Sweetie Chronicles and Antipodes in particular) and it served to reignite that spark of a dream I had five years ago. Now it's been over a year, and I am pleased to still be writing and looking forward to every chapter.
Honestly, if it weren't for the great response and feedback it got, even within the first few hours of publishing it, I don't think I would have been able to keep up such a diligent writing schedule while working 6 days a week. I think chances are that it could have just ended up as a small project that I never got around to finishing. However, you, the readers, saved it from being nothing but an incomplete pile of words. For that, everyone has my thanks and gratitude. I hope to continue writing A Heart of Change with as much passion and diligence -- Nay, with more! -- than SoC, especially, now that I'm not working nearly as much.
So, I guess I should get working on that next chapter. Which, by the way, I'm keeping an updated estimate for it's progress and release date as I work on it. You can find that on my userpage.

P.S. Oh yeah, the cover art is still on it's way. It's a project that I'm getting my buddy to do. It's been 4, maybe 5 years since he's done any digital art. He's informed me that he's practicing and getting his skill back to the point where he feels it will be presentable to an audience (A feeling I understand entirely too well). So it'll come eventually, and I'll patiently wait for its arrival.
Congratulations, who's the 'buddy?' Does he have a deviantart?
As much as I love the Sweetie Belle Chronicles, I love your story more.
Happy Anniversary
994623 Not yet, but he'll start one up soon. He's done some pretty cool dragon pictures, he's not used to drawing ponies though, so he's brushing up his skills first.
